Oh, forgot to say the postie had been on Friday. 😉

Getting ready for my model club's first group build 'Harrier'. Oct 1 - Dec 31. I washed my 1/48 Airfix GR3 kit. Something I sometimes do with time before the build starts. Oh FEK, there's no front canopy. Checked Ebay, nowt. Checked Hannants, nowt. Checked Scalemates, nowt.

Emailed Airfix, worth a try but not hopeful. Put a thread on Flory Forum under 'Wanted' So I might as well rinse and dry the rest of the kit. Only went and found the front canopy. 😳 FFS.

If I paint the crew OK then they're going in. I think pilots will have to go in before fuselage halfs can be put together.

Some paint and UV resin.

Got this just about finished. Was doing a little final assembly. Got a fingerprint in the bonnet and a lesser one in the roof. 🤬 Sanded back and sprayed the red paint then gloss varnish later. Put the bonnet back in place again and only done the same again. 🤬🤬🤬🙄

Good evening all fellow Blueskyers. I finally got some photos of the my finished GT40. Not a perfect kit but it builds into a fine looking motor. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to try a car model and maybe a little bit of practice masking. Cheers all. 👍😁 #histscalemodels #buildthestash

Early morning update: I did not like the balance between the windows and the rest, they felt a bit out of place. So I gave them more weathering. I am far more happy with this! #histscalemodels
