I’m a Texan trans kid who almost died because of Ken Paxton. The world should know what he’s done. This was very difficult for me to write, but given what's at stake, I cannot bear to stay silent about what I went through at Paxton's hands. He must not be rewarded for what he's done to trans kids.

The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

The Oklahoma Supreme Court has ruled that gender markers can never be changed for any reason, even for cis people with clerical errors. In a humorous twist of fate, the decision means the state's anti-trans policies will now burden cis people too. But hey, at least they're finally being fair!

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico told a supporter he'll 'always fight for trans kids' in a video taken at a recent campaign rally. Talarico, who has come under fire for seemingly walking back some of his support for trans rights, also stressed that his pro-trans positions “haven’t changed.”

The Democrat here, Blake Gendebien, is facing off against Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino. Constantino is literally running on "detransitioning America" and generally just hating trans people. Gendebien could've called Constantino out for being insane. Instead, he chose bigotry. Shame.

The notably progressive 1st Circuit has ruled that states protect non-binary people’s ‘privacy rights’ by not recognizing their identities. After the horrific decision—from a panel of 3 liberal judges, no less—Puerto Rico also made it harder for binary trans people to change their documents.

A much better—and smarter—answer from Talarico than before, and I'm especially happy to see him stand by his vote against Texas' trans sports ban. Nice to see a swing-state Democrat talking about trans kids like they're actual human beings instead of just calling trans girls 'boys.'

We are at the break glass moment on the Democratic Party and its treatment of transgender people, and it is my opinion that if we don’t act now and loudly demand to be heard, we will suffer the consequences of their shift.
