Had thoughts about the idea of a "media bias against Xbox" in this week's episode. Take it from any angle — as a consumer, as a person with empathy, or as a politically active person — and Xbox has given you a reason to look elsewhere. You SHOULD have an anti-Xbox bias. They've earned it.

An individual in Canada used ChatGPT for eight months to plan one of the country’s worst mass shootings. Yet, if you listen to politicians and media, the real threat of AI is a fantastical scenario where it might wipe out humans in ten years. They need to stop getting fooled by tech deceivers.

disconnect.blogThe media has the AI threat all wrongGenerative AI is harming people today. We don’t need to waste time fantasizing about science fictional scenarios.

Just a PSA for all the other major publishers: You can’t make a GTA 6. Don’t have any meetings about it. Don’t put together any pitch decks. Don’t preemptively doom your workforce and the industry any further than you already have. Leave it alone.

I have been listening to my friends and fav games podcasters rave like fiends about these games for what feels like my whole life. Thank you @lukeplunkett.com I hate them too thank you for validating me there are at least two of us!!!

Nolan is a god awful writer, and the attendant pleasures of his masterful visuals are waning for me. The two have to work in concert. He has plenty of advocates who will disagree but I needed to put this out in the ether

Very funny that public opinion around AI has shifted enough that AI rhetoric has to be downplayed in emails like this…but not enough to just avoid layoffs altogether

In an internal email shared with creators, CEO Jack Conte wrote that AI doesn’t replace human creativity — but it does affect how the company operates.

"If you had a drone with a much more sophisticated camera that could fixate on whatever they're chasing after, then that would be much more effective." Perfect. I think what we all want is for drones to be more natural and effective www.cbc.ca/news/canada/britis...

“Who’s The Real Joker Now?” My love letter to Balatro. This piece took forever to finish since I‘d only work on it for 20 minutes before i end up playing a couple rounds instead.

im like a 95% ai hater, i have to use it at work and sadly there's some stuff it helps with (speaks a bit more to how useless I am than its utility). but im still not clear what most of these firms think they are offering that a free model hosted and trained in house can't do in 99% of use cases
