Reports and video show flash-bangs thrown into piles of debris just before a car caught fire, strongly suggesting it was law enforcement, not protesters, who sparked it. More details are coming. Don’t let them control the narrative. Thank you to everyone sharing footage, always record everything.

The National Guard has arrived in Los Angeles, but they were not requested by California. Both Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass made it clear that the state did not authorize or want federal troops deployed.

1/4 In June 2023, smoke from Canadian wildfires blew hundreds of miles south into the U.S., and somehow this has become an annual occurrence. This is our new climate-fueled reality. Wildfire smoke is no longer a health concern for only the Western U.S.; it’s a whole country problem.

NGVADay.. The Republican solution for guns in schools is for you to use your dead classmate as a human shield. They have been bribed too much to change it. An AR-15 has one use, and that is to kill people. Death of kids, migrants, and the elderly seems to be a theme with Republicans.

I think its alot how one is raised. You either have parents who have values & morals as a world citizen and have awareness of how we fit in with the world community or you don't. If you don't have that awareness, then you prob have very limited exposure to the rest of the world & so closed minded.

I’m sorry, what the fuck? I could die because they’re cutting Medicaid, that my tax dollars pay for, so that my tax dollars can pay for his golfing trips instead? Am I getting that right?

ZiggyStardust@grancracker.bsky.social

Republicans have included 300 MILLION in the budget for......Trump's golf trips. You heard that right. But there is no money to feed hungry kids school lunch. #TrumpsBillWillKill

We don’t need to back off the American Gestapo and we don’t need to respect its agents. People exercising state violence are not entitled to anonymity. Nor are the people directing the state violence.

MIKE JOHNSON: From the people who mandated mask wearing for years, it's absurd. They need to back off ICE & respect our agents Q: So you're ok w/agents not identifying themselves when they're arresting migrants? J: Why, so they can target them? So they can put names and faces online and dox them?

He is correct. While democrats are positioning themselves for the midterms, masked terrorists are disappearing people off the streets. Education and science decimated. The rich are robbing our country blind with trumps help Unless something drastic happens our free and fair elections are over

Here’s a rare member of the U.S. Senate who seems to understand how close we are to a dictatorship.

Chris Murphy: "We can't be preparing for the 2026 election. It might not come. All of our focus right now has to be on protecting the democracy, about stopping the corruption."

If we want to stop America from being a police state, getting Stephen Miller off of Trump's shoulder is an essential first step.

David J. Bier@davidjbier.bsky.social

The Washington Examiner (the conservative news outlet) reports that Stephen Miller screamed at ICE officials: "What do you mean you're going after criminals? Why aren't you at Home Depot? Why aren't you at 7-Eleven?" Kinda blows up the narrative that they care about public safety.

We’re all going to die, but Congress shouldn’t be making it easier for us to get there and that’s exactly what the House’s budget bill does. Medicaid provides lifesaving care and Congress should protect it, not decimate it.
