A bag of Haribo Twin Snakes has 16g of protein. Follow me for more diet advice!

A movie I liked that wasn’t highly rated: THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER.

The man the Mafia couldn't kill is in Italy to save a little girl. He's hunting the kidnappers with the aid of a disfigured ex-cop. Everyone is out for a kill. Frenzi will make sure they are out to die. Amazon/Kobo books2read.com/wheninromeki... Itch point-of-impact.itch.io/frenzi-when-...

Hey #TTRPG and #OSR fans, did you know you can grab our supplement, HAND FULL OF DEATH, for FREE now during the Itch Halloween Sale? It contains a duel mechanic, two encounters, modifications, and a quickstart guide. FOR FREE!

Gonna be honest, I wasn't loving THE THRICE-BOUND FOOL in the first third, but man did it end up hitting the mark for me. This is why I rarely DNF books.

Going to catch up on my 31 horror movies in 31 days tonight by watching APOSTLE. It’s a personal favorite. Folk horror, religion, and Dan Stevens. What more could one ask for?

TL;DR Let people enjoy what they enjoy.

The town next to mine has a site for sale being marketed as an ideal location for a data center. This shit is going to hit closer to home than you think.

I'd rather crawl across a football field covered in broken glass while naked than read an AI generated novel or story.

Wanna be a hero in your household? Greenlight the guinea pig purchase.

It turns out that Diet Coke has quite a bit of caffeine in it. Explains why I have been able to smell sound the last few days.

A priest turned bard named Silver Ear seeks fortune in Hagen's court but becomes entangled in unraveling a secret lurking in Godling Wood, where a creature so old she doesn't know her origin (though she's curious to learn) stalks the night.

If you were reading a book that jumped between three characters, but those characters often ended up in the same scenes, would you prefer to read in rotating first person (each chapter from one character pov) or third person close?

Don’t be a coward

Looooong Saturday full of parties. My social battery is going to be negative after today.

Only a few days left to vote my friends! Read/listen to spooky stories and vote for your favorite!!! 🎃🎃🎃

This movie does fuck. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it, but I think that had to do with how little I knew going in.

I don't care how hardened of a horror fan you are, there's always one thing that gets under your skin. For me it's fingernails. It's even hard for me to write scene involving fingernails popping off.

One time I watched a doctor measure a tunneling bed sore with his pinky. Trying to work out how to put something like that in a book.

1k words in the action novel. Starting to flesh out the plot for the bleak novel. Outline is looking sharp for the cybersecurity novel. Maybe I can do this writing thing!

It's Friday and I am bored and I have no plans. Time to get up to shenanigans.

Wife is taking the kids to see WILDWOOD today. Thinking of tagging along then getting lost and finding my way into a showing of CLAYFACE.

Reminder to come see me and a bunch of other rad authors, local and otherwise, tomorrow at #UtahHorrorXRomanceDay! #horrorauthor #indieauthor

Last night I watched BUDDY. For me, a Barney the Dinosaur stan as a child, it was a near perfect movie. Check it out if/when you get the chance.

My wife, who doesn’t drink caffeine, drank one of those Alani energy drinks. Anyway, the results are hilarious. She’s like a dog with the zoomies.

I picked 38 white ghost peppers from the garden today.

This is actually a nice update. ADD YOUR LINKS.

I've just submitted the new podcast to various podcast outlets, but in the meantime you can already listen to episode one (for free) on Patreon. THE GHOULISH SHOW returns. @mads.haus is my first guest. Have fun: www.patreon.com/interrobangb...

Whether you stare creepily at your screen, or just have it playing in the background, this is 54 minutes of exquisite content! youtu.be/NtKEORyeBpk

The idea was for my super bleak novel (a project that is so far away it’s not even funny). Nothing more than the first three chapters or so, but it’s funny how the mind chews on this stuff in the background.

Sitting around, outlining, brain starts to wander, suddenly a new story starts to come into focus, slap self, dictate quick note, back to outlining. ADHD and being a writer seem to go hand in hand.

Action novel passed 10k words today. Pretty happy considering life and work slowed what was initially blazing progress. I’d like to get to a place where 2k words a day is normal.

It’s fencing night which means an hour of uninterrupted reading, and maybe a little bit of plotting the cybersecurity horror novel.

There is no AAA video game industry. We should probably stop referring to it like it was still a thing.

New minisode! Though "mini" isn't quite right, as the episode is over an hour! @drspookyer.bsky.social interviews fantasy author Eric V. Swearingen! open.spotify.com/episode/1ISf...

Today is less hump day and more summit K2 day

Too real

Meanwhile, every Director+ person I know* is complaining about drowning in AI work product that is so bad that they are missing targets. *I know, data vs anecdote, but these are people at massive AI-forward companies.

Man, have I told you how much I love books?

Reviewers: THE INVISIBLE ENEMY, my spy thriller about Havana Syndrome, is now available on @netgalley.bsky.social
