By a thousand cuts

@buehlmeister.bsky.social Just hit part 5 on Between Two Fires and have to go to work. Wanna write me a doctor’s note? Gotta see how this ends!

Hey, look at Substack promoting Andrew Tate as the #1 new bestseller. The company's amoral leadership & backers will platform anyone, even ludicrously toxic rapists & human traffickers.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Our federal trial for protesting ICE is on Tuesday. Win or lose, we’re facing up to $250k in legal fees. That’s why this Saturday, we’re having a 12-hr stream-a-thon! Join us 5/23 from 10am-10pm CT to help raise the remaining legal costs and WIN this case: twitch.tv/katabughazaleh

@tkingfisher.com You’re stressing my sister out and it’s only Monday. Wolf Worm is a great read!

@charliejane.bsky.social Cat Scientist!!!

It’s a wild Saturday night over here

@claymcleod.bsky.social They’re here!

Eating oat milk ice cream makes me cry. My body has betrayed me.

I wanna try something... Please REPOST if Nintendeal ever helped you score a good deal on a video game

Book #4 of 2025 was Grady Hendrix’s new novel Witchcraft for Wayward Girls, which may now be in my top three Hendrix novels.

Today seemed like a good day to restart Wolfenstein.

First book of 2025 was @fondalee.bsky.social’s Jade Legacy. A fantastic book that took me longer to get into than it should’ve. My fault, not the book’s. Once hooked, I couldn’t put it down. Amazing book and Lee fantastically stuck the devastating landing.

My family is turning on my sister after she hosted Christmas on 12/23while having sick kids. This infected all of us, and ruined everyone’s Christmas. I want to feel bad for my sister but this has been one of the sickest experiences of my life.

Barely been out of bed since Tuesday evening. This stomach bug is not messing around.

I was looking forward to it anyway but then the trailer was cut to a soundtrack of a recital of Kipling's 'Boots' and there are skull trees and I'm so fucking ready I might not be able to last I NEED IT 🫠🤯 youtu.be/mcvLKldPM08?...

Time to dive in to Wake Up and Open Your Eyes @claymcleod.bsky.social

Wife is crying while taking down all the 0-3 month infant clothing. Send help.

The new bookcases are here. Time to get to work!

Reading a book that I’ve been struggling to get into. What’s weird is that the book is enjoyable and definitely good, I just have been unable to be captured to the extent that it shuts me off from everything else to truly escape into the work. I blame the chaos of the day to day.

Konrad for the wiiiiiiiin

@claymcleod.bsky.social This finding its way to me was not on my bingo board for tonight. Guess I’ll let everyone know my weekend is booked.

Getting ready to go hear Jennifer McMahon talk about her book My Darling Girl.

Finally decided to pull the plug on my account on that other site. End of an era and will miss the memories but won’t be missing the cesspool it’s become.

Reading Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane in my 30s hits a lot differently.

I’ve made it!
