Any government espousing the power of AI either doesn’t properly understand the economics of AI or has already paid too much in contracts to the lies of Palantir. That the UK government has so clearly drunk the Kool Aid on this should worry us all

Moyes’ attitude to subs is they are an afterthought (almost an admission that he was wrong) to his original team selection rather than an essential weapon to change games

North Sea oil go ahead won’t make our bills cheaper, so it’s simply a sop to lobbying. No benefit at all aside from a tiny number of jobs & to Shell’s bottom line. Yet again government takes the option that shows other countries we are not serious about net zero. It’s another test Burnham has failed

The far right are by definition “anti human” because they embrace the idea that empathy is weakness as opposed to a common trait we can recognise each others humanity by. A world free of empathy would not be human!

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

The motion was flawed, politically naive, offensive to British Jews and very likely only forced over the line by votes from entryists. HOWEVER the relentless stream of mainstream commentators piling on to Polanski yesterday is not solely motivated by “Zionism is racism”.Knives were being sharpened

Zelenskyy blasts Trump-Putin energy deal: "Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilised world. Russia will 'repay' the diesel with further terror and perfidy. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged."

The predictable “Polanski is over” commentary this morning reveals more about the writer’s attitude to the motion on Zionism than it does about the bye election result’s actual impact on the leadership situation, in my view

My vision; A crash, big tech dies and the only real losers are the billionaires- causing the rest of humanity to do an entire course correct on our current mode of capitalism. Attendant to that all disseminators of disinformation are de monetised (ie the complete opposite of what happens now)

My god this Gilla Band album might be my favourite “difficult” record in ages. Really gets under your skin if you’re prepared to crack its initially off putting outer shell

There’s no point in calling a rejoin referendum until 75% are pro, the anti disinformation department delivers results and you’ve banned mega donations/dark money/crypto

Have you heard of 1789 Capital? The venture capital firm founded by Don Jr? They obtained a stake in a small company named Vulcan Elements-and quickly got a $620 million deal from the Pentagon Why? “The call came from the White House: We have to get this done” #PaytoPlayPresident

Open AI is losing money hand over fist. So is Anthropic. The emperor truly has no clothes. That is the real reason they are delaying new model releases and IPOs. Nothing to do with safety concerns.

To be clear the job losses are cased by CEO AI investment derangement syndrome

Bruno Dies@brunodias.dev

It really doesn't make sense to attribute those job losses to AI-the-technology, because if that were the case we'd be observing AI outputs displacing conventional entertainment products, and they're clearly not. Rather, the impact of AI is that AI-the-business is crowding out other investment.

Am in tears listening to the Glastonbury ‘94 version of “Are We Here” from the newly released Orbital recording of that seminal appearance. Sadly it came one year too early for my own Glasto -going. Very envious of anyone who witnessed it and this awe inspiring tune. “What does god say?” indeed!

For a righteous, bloodied but unbowed style post punk take on life in Trump’s U.S in 2026 I can highly recommend the new protomartyr album. For a completely fucked up Wolf Eyes go IDM take on post punk in 2026 I can highly recommend the new Gilla Band. Both are excellent, in their own ways

Meta-Muse is a neat encapsulation of everything that’s wrong with big tech, from the idea that an an AI could be your companion to the banality of making it ‘cute’right through to Matt Bellamy just giving up 20 years worth of social handles to enable its incorrectly chosen name. The era of stupid

Actress Susan Sarandon being arrested earlier today for protesting Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations. One is speaking out against genocide, one is committing it. One was arrested, one was not.

The new Jon Ronson book, The Castle, is a compelling, insightful, bizarre and and at times hugely poignant examination of men in the context of online influencers and the socio-economic and institutional failings that pushed them there. A vital read!

I’m willing to bet the main reason no other triumphal arch that’s also a weapons stash and sniper tower exists is because of the intense interest it would draw as a security risk/target
