Have you heard about Nevada Neymar Pierre, a 3-year-old soccer prodigy, has gone viral following a controversial incident where police were called to his youth soccer match and removed the boy because he was playing too good! He scored 40 goals in 5 games! And these asshole parents called 911. WTF!

Looking at US News and World Report's list of best places to retire. They don't seem to have factored in diversity; top 3 choices, Midland, MI, Homosassa Springs, FL and Weirton, WV are all 85-91% white, according to a quick Google search. Sigh. loom.ly/tNsMBkA

The NY Times quotes DOJ assurances that its election maneuvers aren't politically motivated. Then NYT says: “Yet it has become increasingly difficult to reconcile reassurances with reality, critics say.” What the hell is “critics say” doing in that sentence? NYT knows it to be true. Just say it!

This isn't unique or personal to Tom, but we HAVE to stop lionizing any and every sacrifice at the altar of the NFL. The question was never, "how committed is Jalen Hurts to football?" He's a Super Bowl MVP. The question is: how committed were the Eagles to Hurts when his health was in real danger?

Based on their public comments, NYT leaders view the kind of insider details discovered by Haberman and others as essential to understanding Trump. I don't think that's correct. Public documents (Project 2025) and events (Jan 6, DOGE) to me describe this presidency better than insider accounts.

"Democracy dies unless Maggie Haberman has access to senior Trump aides and McConnell/Romney Republicans respect us" is essentially the argument Times editors have been making since 2018. I can't tell if they actually believe that or it's a pretext for their decision not to change their approach.
