He should not be allowed to have any government contracts--he is operating like a rogue state.

We are witnessing the disgraceful attempt by the United States to make Ukraine break so that Vladimir Putin can declare victory in his disastrous war. Donald Trump is an open puppet of the Kremlin. The United States political, legal, military and media establishment are along for the ride.

With Trump's removal of Starlink, Russians are now hunting cars full of people in Kyiv, using jet drones for which Ukraine's interceptors no longer function to stop. Three people murdered an hour ago in southern Kyiv, with six others injured, three of which are children.

Doctors and hospitals that treat people in immigration detention have gone about a year without being paid. Now ICE plans to keep the company hired to fix that problem for up to four more years, without taking bids from anyone else.

A U.S. envoy calling murderer Putin a humanitarian while visiting him in Kremlin — when after failing to achieve his military goals, Putin directs Ukrainian civilians to be hunted in the streets or executed in their own homes. Kids will read about this one day and ask: what was everyone else doing?

Replace "Boeing 737s" with "empty warehouses" and you've got the same play that DHS under Noem pulled. And a source on background told us in February the sales were meant to help well-connected Trump affiliates offload industrial properties that were liabilities on their books.

Tantalizing new clue here from @markalfred.bsky.social on the failed “deportation fleet.” I first reported in February that DHS contractor (a former Noem donor) overpaid for the planes, starting last December. gillianbrockell.com/noems-luxury...

There is much to admire in Abdul El-Sayed's response to the GOP plant in his audience. But one of the most deft things he did was to point out (twice) that our Constitution protects our right to follow *no* religion, thereby casting Christian nationalist Tommy as the actual religious extremist.

A 56-year-old Mexican man held at a federal immigration facility in Laredo was found dead in his cell Saturday morning. His family says the center would not give him medicine for diabetes, high blood pressure and a heart condition. He is the 7th person to die in ICE custody in Texas this year.

Putin proposing a summit with him, Donald Trump, and Xi Jinping to decide the fate of Ukraine reminds me of the time I had dinner with Taffy and Delores to decide how to trick Darlene into selling her beachfront condo to us for 70% below market value. Good times!

Listen to the Canadians cheer the notion of greater independence from the United States. The world is prepared to move on without us. And I don’t blame them. I would move on from us, too. Video: buff.ly/ws894FH

So the president claims not to know who did something that should only be doable, if at all, with the president’s knowledge, if not by the president himself.

Q: If it wasn't you, then who gave the order for Starlink to go down in Ukraine? TRUMP: I don't know

My name is not the reason we're paying $5/gallon for gas. My name is not the reason you can't afford your groceries. My name is not the reason you can't afford your mortgage or rent. My name is not the reason you can't see a doctor. Their policies are the reason.

🌐 The Kremlin spent years building its idea of a “sovereign internet,” centralizing services and tightening control. Now, one by one, Russia’s data centers are being hit – and when such a centralized system loses key infrastructure, there are very few alternatives ready to replace it.

Part of the reason why Congress seems like it’s run by distant elites who don’t get it is because it is run by elites, who have little experience of what it means to struggle in this country. Only 2% of Congress members have spent any part of their adulthood in the working class.

Many of you are asking how you can help me. My only ask is this: Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket and share its content. demdock.com/4w6emld

On a positive note, judging by how furious these fucks are and how they've brought out the real big guns to force Ukraine to stop, the strikes against Russia's oil industry are clearly having a very serious impact.
