At every debate and public event, all candidates should be asked "Do you agree with President Trump that Somalis are taking over Minnesota?" "How will you push back against the racist and xenophobic rhetoric of the President and members of his administration?"

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump tries to start a race war: "The once Great State of Minnesota is being taken over by Somali Immigrants ... The Somalians should not be allowed to get away with what they are doing. They view you as weak and stupid people. Fight back Minnesota, fight back!"

This must stop! We have a President trying to start a race war. This cannot stand. Where are Republicans who will stand up for liberty, integrity, dignity, decency, basic human rights? They are just as much to blame by coddling and protecting Trump from any consequences for this behavior.

JD Vance is the most insincere politician of my lifetime. He will say anything, regardless of his actual knowledge or awareness of the truth, to curry immediate-term favor.

Justin Baragona@justinbaragona.bsky.social

It feels like one of the tenets of the MAGA movement is you always have to act like you're the dumbest motherfucker alive. JD Vance has a degree in political science and philosophy from Ohio State. He has a law degree from Yale. He absolutely knows what socialism is, but he has to do this act.

Trump is not the King of America. He cannot do whatever he wants. But, he's surrounded by a bunch of cowardly sycophants who help sell out Americans every minute of every day.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I could've done very bad things to Hillary Clinton. I could've done very very bad things to Joe Biden. I could've done very bad things to Barack Hussein Obama ... I can do whatever I want, if I want."

ICE is nothing but cowards.

unraveled@unraveledpress.com

ICE is slamming far northern Illinois for a second day in a row. Rapid responders in Rockford say federal agents detained a group of roofing workers this morning—eight men all the way from Minnesota. Volunteers are currently trying to locate their families. From a local immigration attorney:

Worst. President. Ever. It's like every day he thinks up even more extreme and inane ways to fail at basic decency and competency.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."

Lying to cover up their incompetence and stupidity.

Allison Gill@muellershewrote.com

NEW: Hegseth and Trump are lying about how many troops have been killed in their war. The DoD website says 14. The actual number is 23 or 24 according to multiple DOD officials 1/ www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

Even Dr. Oz got dumber when he joined the administration. Just a pathetic bunch of liars and grifters.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Dr Oz and kooky Fox Business host Taylor Riggs push vaccine skepticism: "We were told in April 2020 that if you got hit by a car but you also happened to have covid, they considered that a covid death. With the measles outbreak in Pennsylvania, are you dying with measles or from measles?"

Since returning to the White House, Donald Trump has made more stock trades than every Member of Congress COMBINED. Trump’s unprecedented corruption — as millions of Americans struggle to afford basic needs — is one of the many reasons why we are going to crush the regime electorally in 49 days.

We will not stand for election intimidation and interference.

It's mind blowing that this guy hasn't been impeached just for this lunacy. There only 3 reasonable explanations for these repeated utterances are either he is unable to comprehend reality, he is a pathological liar, or he is deliberately trying to undermine democracy.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump in Ireland lies delusionally: "We had a rigged election. As you know, it was totally rigged. Because I won three times. I didn't win twice. I won three times."

I'm convinced Alito and Thomas are not very smart and their law clerks have to work extra hard to make their dumb ideas look at least a little like legal opinions.

Don't join the death cult. Get vaccinated!

Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark@jasmineclarkforga.bsky.social

We need 95% of the population to be vaccinated to prevent outbreaks. Unfortunately, we have fallen below that number in places like Pennsylvania, and are now seeing the predictable, and deadly, consequences. This is why strong public health measures matter.

Even if Vance can convince voters he was an Iran war skeptic from the start, that only means he was too weak and ineffectual to do anything about it. “Don’t blame me, I tried and failed” isn’t exactly a message that will portray him as a strong leader. @paulwaldman.bsky.social in @atrupar.com's PN:

China's net greenhouse gas emissions *fell* this past quarter. Why? Because rapidly expanding electric vehicle use is putting a serious dent in oil demand. We could do that too. But we're not. We have the slowest EV update in the developed world, thanks to Trump.

carbonbrief.orgAnalysis: China’s CO2 emissions fall in Q2 2026 due to plummeting oil use - Carbon BriefChina’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions fell by 1% in the second quarter of 2026, as oil consumption plummeted amid the strait of Hormuz crisis.

Yet another example that the president is a stupid lunatic.

Angry@angrystaffer.bsky.social

I know it’s a long list, but this might be the dumbest thing Trump has ever tweeted. The Fed would love to be able to lower rates, but Trump’s policies (including the moronic one he announces here) are preventing that from happening.

Is there a support group for decent Americans and decent Israelis to meet and process their grief that results from being governed by the worst people ever?

whiteguy4dei.bsky.social reposted

👇🏽Exactly as many warned. Their cruel racist deportations of innocent people aren’t freeing up jobs, they’re hurting the economy. Immigrants are not the problem. Greedy corporate oligarchs — and the politicians they own — are.

whiteguy4dei.bsky.social reposted

ICE's treatment of people in their custody since President Trump took office is an absolute failure beyond measure.   We must stop funding a lawless immigration system that treats human lives as expendable.

I'm old enough to remember when blatantly killing innocents by government dictate was a crime against humanity.

Chris Hayes@chrislhayes.bsky.social

I don’t think there’s really even a colorable argument that this isn’t mass murder. theintercept.com/2026/09/02/m...

How can you look at this and not conclude that Republican voters are simply gullible marks.

Canada just provides the US with 60% of our imported oil, almost all of the natural gas we import, electricity for our grid, about half the aluminum we use, tons of lumber, tremendous amounts of car parts for American assembly plants. What could go wrong? How could prices go up?
