Hi, I'm WhiteWulfe! I'm a mini painter that's also into GunPla and scale models. I paint with a combination of acrylics and oils, but have been steadily transitioning to mostly painting with Gamblin and Michael Harding oils. First three are works in progress, the last is completed. #minipainting

Ooh. Oooooooh. That Ironjaws Grunta Stampede holiday box looks tempting. It would be incredibly tempting, if it weren't for that little problem of I already have one big pig. Not quite sure I want three big pigs... Also if, y'know, I wasn't so tempted to get a Dropfleet Commander starter...

Still alive, probably won't be posting much for a few days, because oh boy, yesterday's appointment sure beat the tar out of me. Day after and I still feel like my brain's been liquefied. Twenty minutes of varying intensity of breath control to maintain consciousness was not fun.

In my eyes, Arturia knocked it out of the park with the MiniFreak 49... Was saving up for a MiniFreak, and I was hoping for another octave, and icing on the cake would have been full sized keys... And it's got a few more quality of life things added too. It'll even fit on my desk too. Nice.

Would it have been nice to get more? Maybe, I dunno. I wasn't really wanting anything else - firmware 4.0 already had me stupidly excited for the synth, and 5.0 added to that. Is it perfect? Nope, no synth is, but it offers a lot of what I want alongside my Digitone II and Syntakt.

Best of all though, is it's only $200 CAD more than the 37 key version, which means it doesn't kick it out of the range of my initial budget for it all, which especially makes me happy. Just means I have to save up for a bit longer, that's all. But yay, full size keys, playable with both hands!

First up, I wanna state emphatically that digital sculpting can be just as good, if not better than traditional sculpting. There isn't a quality to digital sculpting that is inherantly bad. It can be better because making adjustments and applying fine layers takes no time and patience to do.

But this isn't about that. I'm happy as all fuck that not only has Ken been honourably inducted into their wings, but most of their family has. Ken did a ton of work for the community, and I'd bet Kyle has too (I haven't paid much if any attention - remember, I've been keeping to my own thing...)

Mood on this one yo-yos hard simply because of the fact there's a ton of joy, but there's also immense sadness. Still fully intend on building that F/A-18B/CF-188B with his colours though, even if I've heard the Kinetic kits can be a bit... Interesting to build.

September 26th, 2020 will always be a Saturday I remember, because in the span of two hours there was over a dozen missed calls and two dozen texts from people that didn't usually talk to me all that often, and even a few voicemails. Wasn't really there mentally at work on the Monday after.

To this day, I still don't really know how to process the emotions from then. I'm still half expecting Ken to just randomly pop up one of these days, even though there's literally multiple videos of what happened after his plane struck the power line he didn't know about because it wasn't marked.

Normally I don't talk much about personal or family life, doubly so after the injury because I try to live through what I'm able to do, but also because I lean more towards being someone who blends into the background. Someone who just does their thing to the best of their ability.

Sounds silly, but I have always described myself as "just the coffee delivery guy" when I worked for an office coffee service. An almost sugar rush kind of happiness has kind of always been my signature "thing". I wanted customers to at least feel a bit better after my deliveries.
