1/ A few weeks after sacred relics of St. Dmitry Donskoy were 'rediscovered' and paraded in occupied regions of Ukraine to boost Russian troops' morale, the Russian Army has reportedly lost them. This comes just over 4 years after the Russian Navy lost the True Cross of Jesus. ⬇️

For the record: The University of California has never asked me for anything like this. But I am seeing this line of questioning arising in a rapidly growing number of American contexts. It has been asked of me, personally, elsewhere. And that is very, very alarming.

Emma Bonino, a giant of Italian politics, has died. Tireless campaigner for civil rights & firm believer in European unity, she stood for everything that Meloni hates. Frequently tipped to become President of the Republic, she sadly never got the opportunity.

Just walked past this. Why would I want to hire people to carefully move my stuff if they can’t be bothered to make sure that their company name β€œIn and Out Movers” is not accidentally rendered as β€œIn Nut” on their logo?

Four 15th century panel paintings by Antonello da Messina were stolen from the Messina Museum last night. 4 guards were (supposedly) on duty & the alarm system functioned but nobody noticed the theft until a family walking by found 2 other paintings abandoned by the thieves against the museum wall.
