Like most people, I file/pay my income taxes once a year. Why does the California Franchise Tax Board require me to change my password every 90 days? @cagov.bsky.social
I’m a season ticket holder and I turn the channel whenever one of the Giants’ Phobic Four takes the mound.
The team can’t ignore the fans and the Pride Day controversy.

Love San Francisco ❤️. Love the Golden Mile. Pick up community concerts with guitars, drums, a flute, clarinet, and a violin around the piano. All just random neighbors. Beauty. #TheBubbleBike#GoldenGatePark
In retrospect making the mascot of your TV station a cartoon character whose entire thing is he only performs for an audience of exactly one person was not in retrospect auspicious.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.
certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
My friend teaches middle school, where the students are *constantly* saying "six-seven."
He himself stands at 6'7".
So he's dressing as "six-seven" for Halloween.
Love it.

When you’re boarding a MUNI train late night and a guy starts singing from “42nd Street” and you belt out the next lyric—and for good measure pull the original 1932 novel from your shoulder bag!
I love it when I take a trail I have never tried before. It was so immersive I no longer thought I was in the middle of a big city. Golden Gate Park really is my happy place.
In 2009 I entered the Easter bonnet contest with the Sisters in Dolores Park. (Mine: Total Eclipse of the Hat!) While on stage I took this photo of Sister Roma (@sisterroma.bsky.social) and the crowd with an actual camera. It was picked up by media across the world and even a restaurant.
Most outlets (and the restaurant) paid me under the license I had on Flickr. Two magazines and several websites ran it and refused to pay me for my work as they considered it "news" and exempt from licensing. At least I got a photo credit.
🚨House Republicans just passed a bill that would disenfranchise 70 million married American women.
Under the SAVE Act, women who took their spouse’s last name and don't have an updated passport or birth certificate would be turned away at the polls.
NEW: The Supreme Court took 6 months to decide immunity, but just 6 days to effectively strip the rest of us of due process. My latest: www.muellershewrote.com/p/the-corrup...
This is a big deal. Spread the word. But it’s tiny compared to the totality of what’s happening at NIH. Cure Research for all cancers, Alzheimer’s, everything is being gutted. Intentionally. It’s all getting burned to the ground but the news isn’t getting out. The new cures won’t be there for you.
A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.
Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
