hello, new followers. i mostly look at birds and do paperwork. however, i help write a game called BLANKSWORD, which is an rpg about dethroning a powerful god and his legion of angels spreading rot and plague across the world. the demo is out on steam; go get parasitized today.

i try to brighten my friends’ days by sharing good news whenever i see it, but this now being the third time i’ve seen very positive climate news lately, i’m gonna get a lil mean: climate doomerism is misinformation and spreading it, even just in jest, is antithetical to the values you espouse.

she has pretty severe kitty anxiety, but we found out recently that she reacts positively to soothing white noise (i.e. she will curl up and start purring if you play a classical piano recording)

The more i see stuff like this from people heading projects the more i think that the ability to actually hit send on a work, warts and all, is a skill that is necessary lest the allure of "perfect" eat everything and everyone you love

Reading this Famitsu interview Uchikoshi did and it seems that the reason the Crash Keys game was canceled was because *Uchikoshi* wanted to use AI, not the publisher. This snippet is driving me nuts. Makes all the posturing with Hundred Line read extremely shallow.

🦇 𝗪𝗘𝗜𝗥𝗗 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬! 🦇 Blanksword — @blanksword.bsky.social In this story-rich roguelike RPG, you wake up murdered, memoryless, and missing your ENTIRE brain. Armed with a smiling sword, rebuild yourself from scratch, face your betrayer, and overthrow a tyrannical God! ꒰ #weirdgamewednesday ꒱

bit by bit i am learning to code properly and i thank both my partner + co-devs for patience with me while i make a ton of mistakes and push forward anyway

i constantly feel like 🦉 <- bird who does not know jack but everyone's been nice about it + offering me lots of tools + helping me when i get stuck

i tell my friends how possible it is to hop on soulsov constantly, but if you desire to play "the visual novel where they try to kill god in his kingdom for real" it's right there on itch for less than a coffee order amounts of money rn

soul of sovereignty is 30% off for the halloween sale. that's right, only 6.99 usd for a veritable feast of "women's wrongs" and "rebellion against the church state" and "cute alligator." it's a deal so good there's only one way to describe it gigidigi.itch.io/soulsov

In my book I argue that IP fandoms are a crucial part of the economic model of the current media monopoly landscape, as fan campaigns drive down the value of creative labor via harassment and disposability, scare artists from taking risks with IP, and give execs a direct fan base all their own

I think a lot could be said about how fandoms are very much structured to be consumerist without any critical analysis of capitalist production, and how this is the logical end result of that.

the way people talked about 3h was very confusing to me because I'd kind of assumed, prior to my contact with the actual fandom, that the characters didn't all necessarily have perfectly defensible worldviews and that this would be part of why their fans liked them. lrt unrelated

[with the saddest look in my eye] every classic snes rpg you love had significantly less writing in it than you probably remember

maybe i'm a weird stickler for this but i on the large part refuse to let anyone put contemporary memes in the video game i'm writing for. none of that, please. people get their fill of it elsewhere

i am the biggest pissant in the world specifically about comedy. NEVER extend a dialogue past the punchline, i can physically feel my liver having to filter the result, you are stabbing me with knives

i wish people could look at me and intuitively understand how i want to be perceived. it's frustrating because i feel like i'm halfway there but i need to stack all these obnoxious signifiers to get the bare minimum

having a good day of chores + gamedev where i had the energy to do everything i wanted to after 4 shots of espresso makes me worry i may have turned into a 4 shots of espresso per day kind of guy

"guy who works multiple jobs and for whom coffee consumption is a personality trait" is a played-out stereotype, it shouldn't have to be my reality. and yet i like drugs
