(They/He/She) I make music and play games that are about music.

Wow there's a few new people following me, for those unfamiliar, hi! I'm Yeszo, I'm a musician and big fan of fighting games, arena shooters, and especially Guitar Hero/Rock Band Normally artists post three of their best work but this place doesn't allow you to send audio so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s very funny that for conversations about Stage Tour in non 5fret spaces I’m defending it, while in 5fret spaces I’m usually a very vocal critic. I’m simply the bringer of balance to conversations about Stage Tour

From doing this series I found out that there's a band called "Bad Omens" with a song named "Just Pretend" that somehow has 500 million streams that I have never once heard. They have 6x the monthly listeners of Geese. What the hell, is this why we're not getting King Gizzard or Black Midi?

The stars have aligned. ✨ You could say this one's a star-studded lineup. • The Rolling Stones – In the Stars • Smash Mouth – All Star • Muse – Starlight 🗓️ Next Reveal: Gamescom

I saw a video of a guy who doesn't know videogames guessing games by screenshots, and apparently people don't know about The Oregon Trail anymore?????? I'm 22 years old and this is making me feel old.

I missed a few drops but I finally updated my (speculative) Stage Tour tier list, these drops have probably been a bit stronger than I've given them credit for.

Three monster tracks have entered the Stage Tour setlist! 👹🤘 • Mastodon – The Motherload • Mammoth – The End • Beast In Black – Blind and Frozen Face-melting solos. Killer riffs. 🔥⚡️

Updated Tierlist, yes I WILL do this for every song drop. [Note: Obviously I'm not able to play these songs, this is based entirely on how I feel about them as music, I'll probably do a gameplay focused one when the game actually comes out]

Three more tracks join the Stage Tour setlist. Pop-punk, alternative rock, and plenty of attitude. 🤘 • Avril Lavigne – Bite Me • Honey Revenge – Airhead • Paramore – For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic 10 songs revealed so far.

On the other site they're discussing their "Youtube Letterboxd Top 4s", and I think that's a pretty fun idea. It was surprisingly hard to narrow it down from the nearly 20 contenders I initially had!

I find Smash Bros. conversations where they go "but you can't just have a smaller roster in the sequel to your fighting game!" as if every fighting game series hasn't started with a smaller roster since the 90s, and rosters for fighting games haven't been getting smaller and smaller since the 2010s.

If Sinners came out in the 90s there would be an SNES and Genesis game that would be made by totally different developers. The Genesis version youd play as Smoke and you’d have a gun and in the SNES version you play as Preacherboy and you fight vampires with your guitar

Now any time I see one guy with a fedora and another guy without a fedora I just go “Woah it’s Matt and Jay!”

Just saw Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie and it was everything I could hope for and more, please go see it whenever you can, one of the funniest movies I've seen in years.

This game will probably play fine but the venue looks empty and the characters look gross and stiff and it makes me not see what the point in making a new proper game is.

This game doesn't feel like it was made by musicians. Like you compare the stages in the old Guitar Hero or Rock Band games and they're full of little injokes for people who have played shows before, while with this game it feels like just a vague approximation of what a concert is.

With the venues in GH and especially RB, they felt like shows I would want to go to, if I went to the Stage Tour show I feel like it'd be the worst, most stiff, most lifeless concert I'd go to in my life. It just screams "We've never actually played music before".
