I typically live in Following on both sites, and am only following 66 people here compared to 818 over there, so there does seem to be less activity. But that's on me to work to find more of a community here I think.

Call me cynical, but I wonder if this is a consequence of social media being so reliant on algorithms to spoon feed Content™ to people for so long. When algorithms don't dominate things, it makes the whole experience less passive. Maybe some people aren't used to that anymore.

The numbers actually show this. We have an unusual proportion of posters: 50% of people that log on post. That’s a bizarrely high proportion
