Went to Jasper and Miette Hot Springs this last weekend. Absolutely no cell service except for the townsite. It was glorious. A forced digital break that was badly needed. I extended it for another day when I got home.

I'm a really horrible person right now. I just excitedly looked up "Life expectancy of someone with congestive heart failure and common complications the last 6 months of life". It lifted my spirits based on the fact that some 🍊has had this now since 2018 and it's obviously accelerating. 💃🕺

I can hardly wait for tomorrow. Little is off to camp for four days. I am going to clean my house and enjoy 4 days of neat, tidy and quiet. 🙂 I love her to bits and she is a handful most days so this will be like a vacation for me. 😁

Just got home from a mostly lovely road trip in my home Province, Alberta. No electronics, games, videos, news. It's been glorious except for all the "Vote Pierre Polievre" signs everywhere (even though there's no election right now). I enjoyed giving the finger to every single sign lol. SMH.

Someone sends an email to an individual running for Council & cc's others including the organization I work for. We don't respond as there was no instruction, no request, no call to action, no explanation of why we were cc'd. Why would that same sender later lose it because we didn't respond? SMH

I am so very blessed. Best birthday ever! My daughter planned a whole day. Brunch, pottery painting, massage, charcuterie and wine for dinner and peace and quiet for a long, relaxing soak in the tub. I am complete zen right now. 🥰☺️

I DID IT! My 2025 project was to declutter my house and rid myself of years of crap my kids left here, a roommate, my ex-husband. The final push was last night. It is 5:30 am here & I am going to sleep for a bit then take the little to school and take my crap to the Eco Station. Then it's naptime. 😅

It's been a tough year but the Three Musketeers are all together again at the rainbow bridge. I miss them so much. The last one, Scruffy who is on the top right, passed away on January 22. I have one cat left, Sylly, short for Sylvester, and he is aging too so I am holding him close.

I am exhausted yet staying up with my good boi Scruffy. A wonderful, perfect boi who is being held during his last night with us. He will go to the rainbow bridge soon & play with his buddy Bear who left us last year. It's been a wonderful & too short 16 years. I don't want to say goodbye. 💔 😢

I am Canadian and I just bought 2 bags of Bugles. If you are Canadian you will know why I am so excited about this.

Sigh. I almost made it through today without anyone fighting and then boom! This is why I stopped having Christmas. This is why I am going out to a buffet tomorrow with sane people. 2025 will bring changes, as in getting rid of a grumpy old ogre who has reached the end of my generosity. I'm done.

Still use my library and have joined their once a month book club which I enjoy.

Well I'm back, not like anyone noticed I was gone lol. Had a fabulous 4 days in Montreal and Quebec city. Loved every minute. Will dearly miss the amazing food. I am planning to return for a longer visit. Seeing places in my own country that I have not yet seen is awesome.
