😷🧵 Going into winter I'd like to take a moment to share my masking precautions for covid/illness prevention.😄 1. Time, Distance, Shielding Minimize exposure wherever practical. Follow the ALARA principle: As Low As Reasonably Achievable. This is the key principle of radiation safety as well.

Massively undercovered story given the serious pandemic risk this H5N1 outbreak in a US mink farm poses. Utterly insane that the public health reaction here is to shrug our shoulders and essentially do nothing. Yet another way the US is a menace to the rest of the world.

In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a Florida home, pledging it would be his principal residence. Seven weeks later, he attested a neighboring property would also be his principal residence. In reality, he does not seem to have lived in either home. (Published Dec. 2025)

It’s not just about affordability. Maybe for the first time since 1974, voters say their main concern heading into the midterms is corruption in government. Great to see.

BREAKING Politico: Trump has just established a committee of inquiry to investigate whether Federal Reserve Gov. Lisa Cook made "false statements in connection with one or more mortgage instruments" — his latest effort to remove her from the central bank.

And obviously, these did not evolve stepwise during circulation, which would require dozens & dozens of repeated reversions & repeated evolution of identical mutations, deletions, & insertions. To me, there's only one plausible explanation for this: intrahost evolution. bsky.app/profile/ryan...

Large upload from Ontario yesterday, providing some striking revelations about the evolution of PJ.2.1. First, there is yet another strikingly divergent branch of PJ.2.1. This isn't one variant: it's four. More and more, this resembles the emergence of BA.1/2/3. What is happening? 1/

Trump is scared, but important to remember that the majority of his threats are bluffs. I believe he might try if he thinks he can get away with it. Wont necessarily work logistically, though, because he and his co-conspirators are bad at planning things(thankfully.)

NEW EPISODE: When asked earlier this year if he regretted not seizing voting machines and ballots after the 2020 election, Donald Trump said, "Well, I should have." Now he's telling us exactly what he plans to do in this year's midterms, and this time, we should believe him. youtu.be/MBLiMjSXros

Suuuuper interesting, I was not tracking this. The judge found the law criminalizing noncitizen voting is a voter qualification statute, and therefore outside of Congress’s power. Surprisingly, this is an issue of first impression! Decision is here: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
