I have no idea what series op is talking about here, since he doesn't clarify, but this is more or less the feedback I see from everyone who tries to read Dungeon Crawler Carl and entirely misses the point of the book. It must suck to not recognize a critique of capitalism when you see one.

My take away from this article is that Klob is the centrist establishment corporate Democrat we all think she is, likely with stronger conservative institutional ties than I had understood. No huge revelations, but a good profile. Certainly doesn't make me less worried for the next several years.

Minnesota Reformer@minnesotareformer.com

Voters will still have to decide if Klobuchar is a demanding boss who gets the best out of people, or a someone who would struggle to oversee 50,000 state employees if elected Minnesota governor.

I have to patch so many servers bro it's not funny

shitposts aside, this one is serious, my loves: if you’re just waking up and you have any service online running PHP 5.4 to latest, you need to take it down RIGHT NOW and don’t put it back online until after it’s patched absolutely catastrophic vulnerability dropped in the middle of the night

You know this is a big one because Debian already patched their apt repo, something that usually takes months lol

This is such a patently absurd position you just have to assume this guy's never thought about finances seriously outside of a research lab

I don't think $30k is a life-changing amount of money. Median American born in 1980 will have $2m in income in their lifetime. It's a 1% increase in earnings.

Look y'all, I wish we had a truly progressive leftist candidate who could win the governorship, I really do. But leave me alone with that "well you could vote third party" BS as if any of those candidates are positioned as viable alternatives right now.

I use voting as a tool. I use it strategically. If you want to vote your conscience, I'm not telling you what to do. But don't pretend to me that there's some world in which it's not either Klob or Demuth next year.

Glad Ilhan is okay. And also we can't treat this escalation as isolated. This, ICE raids and deportations, and every other element of the federal government being actively weaponized or destroyed for personal grievances of the ultra-wealthy is all one pattern. The fascists are testing the limits.

Ilhan Omar@ilhanmn.bsky.social

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

It’s Indigenous Peoples Day in Minnesota - an opportunity to embrace the power, beauty, and richness of our community. We are resilient, we are still here, and we will always be here in Mni Sota Makoce.

The last time I heard about SNL was when their guest host got up on stage and said some transphobic shit during the monologue. Today I'm hearing about SNL because their guest host got up on stage and said some misogynistic shit. Remind me again why this show is culturally relevant in 2026?

From Minneapolis to NYC when ICE shoots civilians, the cops provide cover for their retreat. Same cops who train in Israel with the IDF. These systems are connected, both tactically and culturally. If we hope to get out from under either of them, we need to get rid of both. Abolition. Now.

I just. The phrasing is so wild to me. "officers gun went off" like it just did it on its own. You know. The inanimate object.

FOX 9@fox9mn.bsky.social

Minneapolis police say an officer's gun went off after a stolen car came into contact with a squad car during a response to an armed carjacking.

Minneapolis, if you look outside right now it’s like what the 1970s looked like. In pictures and on TV, everything filtered through yellow and green.

Did I just finish a playthrough of Satisfactory? Sure. Did they just announce a new expansion with this creepy cutie in it? Yep Guess I'm coming back to streaming. Eventually. 😁

I'm so close and also pretty damn far away. I need some support today if you can spare it. My birthday is on Monday and all I want for my birthday this year is to keep the house long enough to find a job that can pay for it. Shares help too! Thanks for being here for me.

thiiird person@thiiirdperson.com

I need help saving up for my mortgage. $605 to go and it's due today. I have an interview for a new job tomorrow, but the job I'm working today is commission only and the lack of base pay or sales leaves me broke every week. I'm thiiirdperson at Venmo, Cashapp, Paypal, and Kofi. Thanks so much!❤️🙏🏽

Have you ever wanted to read The End Poem from Minecraft, but all fucked up with nationalist propaganda? America(dot)gov has you covered.

Look I like the Wolves and Lynx as much as any Minnesotan does, but if these rich owner fucks ask for public money to build a new stadium while we're having conversations about cutting park funding and closing schools I'm going to lose my shit.

Democratic leadership would like you to know that you should be mad at the president and not at all blame them for entirely capitulating to his demands. Fucking fascists and cowards, the lot of them.

David Dayen@ddayen.bsky.social

Statement by House Democratic leadership on the enormous unilateral tariff authority Congress just gave the president. House passed this 262-159 with 58 Democrats supporting, clearly no leadership whipping going on. The Senate version passed 86-11 and Schumer voted yes!

Watching people at work put more effort into making Claude functional than they've ever put into sharing the same knowledge with their juniors is pissing me the fuck off.

There are already articles circulating trying to rewrite history and say America was great after 9/11 and united and thoughtful and just a reminder that that period was marked by intense and insanely racist hatred, paranoia, and a frothing desire for unhinged violence and oppression.

The Lowry used to make a buffalo chicken nacho style appetizer, nothing too fancy just shredded chicken, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and some chives over kettle chips. I can of course make this myself but there was something about getting it at the bar after a show that was special.

Oh yeah. AI is for sure the answer to increasing productivity on your tech team. It certainly couldn't be something like actually updating tickets in a timely manner, or writing decent specifications to build to. Certainly the productivity loss is the developers fault.

The real question is: will the developers on your team who care about the work leave on their own, or will you lay them off?

The DNC needs new leadership at every level. This is laughably weak in the face of the current attempt at a full fascist takeover of the country.

What @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social told me the House agenda will be next year if Democrats win —Reverse Trump’s Medicaid cuts —Extend expired ACA tax credits —Restore Congress’s authority on tariffs —“Decisively” end the Iran war Beyond that: “We’ve established five working groups on affordability”

My favorite (harmless) version of this was the apartment I rented a while back had a clause that prohibited "any flammable materials" from being left unattended. Like... What, everything I own needs to be flame resistant? Sheesh

The fact that this company is immediately involved in the new concentration camp they're opening in MN should be enough for no local government of any moral dignity to engage with them at all.

With all the gratitude to the folks who run it and no pressure: is the MSP feed down for everyone, or did I get kicked out for some reason? lol

Those who know me know I'm not the biggest Walz fan, but this is good. It's too bad @amyklobuchar.com can't be bothered to have the same spine so we probably lose this in a year.

I’m using my executive authority to ban nonferrous mining in the Boundary Waters.    As far as my administration is concerned, the fight for the future of the Boundary Waters is over. The verdict is in. The decision is made. We will protect this place.
