Yeah, that's not how Dicktraitors work. They will bring out the soldiers & the guns soon, if someone doesn't do something to stop them. Rule of law & the courts are meaningless to Trump & his thugs & trying to use "traditional/constitution" methods will prove useless against him.

As Ohioans we gotta make up for A LOT right now, Overturning the Trans ban, putting Women's bodily autonomy and abortion rights in our state constitution. We gotta do all we can to take back the state from Corrupt republicans that want throw out our votes.

Transgender and kids should not belong together. I personally see that as child abuse. Anyone who is willing to have a civil discussion to attempt to persuade me differently is more than welcome. I have no issues with trans people. Let kids be kids and allow them to make that decision at 18.

I had to wait MONTHS before I could actually get on hormones and I was forced to try socially transitioning before I was allowed to get hormones prescribed, which is essentially just asking a kid to get bullied.

Not always. My trans daughter was feminine as a child but she thought she was gay. We were all accepting. Many confused her for female as a teen. In her early 20’s, she made the decision to become female. Today she’s 100% happy she made that decision. We always allowed her to do things in her time.

Personally, if I never went on hormones when I did, I simply wouldn’t be alive today. I’m sure there are kids out there that felt that way as well Kids should have access to hormones, no surgeries until adulthood, but I don’t think anyone is actually arguing in favor of letting kids have surgeries

It's so weird to see the party that still pays lip service to "keep the government out of my life" support such a policy about medical care. The bathroom laws are stupid, but they're at least consistently stupid. The medical care laws are bonkers compared to supposed polical philosophy.

I think they are being forced to make a choice of not being able to serve many or even close vs caring for trans people. This is an impossible and ethical issue where it seems to me the trans folks will lose.

What’s involved in gender affirming care? Do we ever discuss that? I worry about the vulnerable children who get swallowed up by this fad of believing a human can be born into the wrong body. Anybody doing the long term research who ISNT also making money from gender affirming medicine?

Ask big oil why we doubt their reports on climate change. Ask big tobacco why we no longer believe their claim that smoking is healthy. We used to be the party that said follow the money if you want to understand the influencers. There’s BIG money in convincing a kid they were born wrong

But those reports had flaws you could point to and determine where they are manipulating data. We also can't ask the environment how our efforts affect them. We can with transitioning. The long term effects are much harder to hide in data than climate change.

I'm involved in gender affirming care & research. We regularly discuss that. As for making money, people deserve to be paid for the work they do. That said, the only research I've ever been paid for was child maltreatment policy work. My involvement in GA research to date has been 100% pro bono.

Because of the effects of the treatments you were sold on (low natural hormone levels, poor surgical outcomes) you are much, much more likely to do the latter than I. There is something very, very wrong with that. A shame that you are too ideologically captured to see this.

Fuck you. You know damn well the reason trans people take their lives disproportionately is the result of the OVERWHELMING hostility we face in society. To imply that gender affirming care, which has repeatedly been shown to reduce suicidality, is the cause is fucking sick. You should be ashamed.

Parents need to get real. I think a lot of times the trans thing is just a rebellious phase. You don't need to rush your kid off to the doctor. That said, is the ban constitutional? IDK. Male genital mutilation is a damn tradition in the US. Things should be equal.
