If a law's basis is a religious one, everyone not of that religion should be exempt from following it. I wish a Jewish or muslim lawmaker would introduce a bill banning pork. Not bc I think it should be banned, but to demonstrate the silliness of passing laws based on a specific religion.

Yes, I'm aware. They do respond to that with "I'm travelling" like repeating that over and over (especially to a supervisor) will cause the "road pirate" to leave. Sometimes it works, because the cop gets pulled away to a more important crime in progress.

That's why they just cite the Constitution: "I have the right to travel unfettered etc etc". The best prelude to a broken car window. :)
