Yes this and I don’t think anyone expected this level of depravity. I also think a lot of bad people with no moral compass rose to the tops of organizations and corporations based on shared sociopathic traits…and now they sure as shit won’t act as true brave self sacrificing moral leaders.

This is what happens when ppl don’t take elections seriously. The 2024 presidential election was not the time to use a vote in protest. Ppl really thought punishing Dems for all things was enough cause to cede over our Democracy, Ukraine, Gaza, social safety nets, invaluable data and so much more.

I wasn’t complacent. I gave money, wrote hundreds of postcards to swing states, showed up at protests, wrote to the White House. We were outnumbered plain and simple by voters who didn’t like the what the Dems were offering. And now the spineless R majority is letting this happen.
