Come fly with us! Over 25 years I have owned airplanes, and like houses, they appreciate. Very lucky to be able to have this one and share it with my family!

Fuel costs alone probably make it difficult for general aviation pilots to fill up their little Cessna 172, let alone a twin-engine turboprop like the one Kinzinger appeared to be flying. For a typical twin-engine turboprop, you're looking at roughly $3K–$8K to fill the tanks from empty to full.

1/2 Hey Adam ... need to teach your wife to fly in case of an emergency; she needs to be your copilot. Late BIL (commercial pilot) bad kidney stone attack; had a friend sit beside him because he had never flown in a small plane. Normally circled an airfield, then landed. "Let me out!"

2/2 "Let me out!" Collapsed on the ground, unconscious. Hubs and I were in the rear seats; husband more experienced but not licensed. Me, in a pinch. One thing I learned flying with him was to be prepared for the unexpected ... he was obsessive.

I expect the next Democratic President to appoint Adam Kinzinger to a cabinet position. He is a true American Citizen. I am not American so I should not expect anything. OK. I hope he gets position.

Much respect for you, but I think when most Americans can’t afford to drive their cars, this is quite tone deaf. Houses and planes may appreciate, but most people today can’t afford houses let alone planes. Kind of disappointed in this, but acknowledge you have done great good for our country

there is a most expensive burger in the world and it’s sold at every civilian airport restaurant. my dad owned a Cessna 172, 185 and 210 in his lifetime. i fondly remember just going up for a flight around the area, landing somewhere to get lunch, then flying back. good times. miss you, Dad!

My niece co-owns a plane. But her children REFUSE to fly with her. Even on a commercial flight they'll have screaming tantrums...I wonder if her abusive ex drilled "Your mama's gonna die today" into his little brain. Men just fucking suck.

True. How does it look when a democrat flies around in his private plane for fun. Kinda like having a president who spends a quarter of his time playing golf. When is the last time you took your plane out for a spin?

Sounds like rotten eggs! He was a pilot in the air force, he loves flying, kudos to him, he's earned it! Not everybody loves flying. I love driving especially sports cars, I've had 4 over my lifetime and they burn through gas like shit through a goose. I ain't stopping driving them, just drive less!

Jealous much? Did you find a way to buy gas so that you can drive? Just because we find a way to pay for stuff that is important to us, doesn't mean stuff ain't too expensive.

I respect you. I respect your service as a military aviator AND as a politician that stood for the American people rather than being subjugated and humiliated by a narcissistic moron. FWIW, you sharing a personal plane video when most people can’t afford basic needs is disappointing. #FreePalestine

The issue isn’t the plane, although a twin engine jet ain’t cheap to buy, fly, or maintain. People can have nicer things than me. The issue is sharing a video showing 3 people flying in it while the Earth is burning, babies are being blown up, and nobody can afford any safe food. #FreePalestine

Obviously you comprehend what I wrote, so I’m unsure why the vitriol towards me admitting said ignorance. Be you, but choose kindness next time. #FreePalestine

Interesting that people here complain in droves that Kinzinger displays wealth in dire times, however noone that a rather big plane like this is doubtful as a toy in times of catastrophic climate change. That's again typical American: no people is more self centered and egotistic

He took a stand on principle, and got drummed out of his party because he wouldn't become a MAGA, and people are upset because he flies his own plane? Why don't you go out and do as much for this country as he has?

It’s amazing what a career in “public service” can get you. Meanwhile I graduated top of class from à top university and because I won’t fuck people over or steal, I struggle to make ends meet. What is this place??

Wow people!... can't you just be happy for them? He's sharing a happy moment with us, and some of you all just found out how to make it a bad thing? No wonder we have this "administration"! That's the mentality of it! "If I can't have it, no one can!" Deplorable!

Retired aircrew/A&P/AE/IA managed to keep flight happy until covid and couldn't afford to fly even small experimental. But manage to borrow enough to stay current with FAA. Me kids and now grandkids wanted no part of aero. Not considered a good career investment at max hours and minimum pay.

No, thank you. There’s a small plane crash in the news like every day. Because traffic controllers turned out to be necessary. Good luck.

"Because traffic controllers turned out to be necessary", consider this: the U.S. has 4,560 public-use, non-towered airports. You would have to hire 45K–55K air traffic controllers, spend $25B–50B to construct the towers and equipment, and spend another $15–20 billion per year to operate the system.

Thanks for proving who I’ve suspected you to be, just another arrogant conservative shoving your privilege in our faces. Fly your plane, take your family wherever. Keep it to yourself next time.

It is great you fly & have your own plane. You do this on your own dime & you're not stealing from the government. I'm a Democrat & believe that being successful enough to afford the things you want is as American as apple pie. Dems believe in bringing more opportunities for success for everyone.

A true flyboy, grin. My late orthopedic doc flew an F100 that was hit by Cuban ground fire (1541 EDT Sat. 10/27/62) during low level reconnaissance flights over Cuba and was injured ditching off Florida afterwards, forcing career change to med school--but he kept flying till shortly before death.

Adam, are you aware of Hoover's Pilot Debrief video channel? It's a phenomenal resource. His focus is to cover aircraft crashes and analyze what went wrong and what could've been done to avert disaster. It's so informative. I think every active pilot should check out his material. pilotdebrief.com

pilotdebrief.comPilot Debrief - Mishap AnalysisPilot Debrief helps pilots assess risk before flight, debrief decisions after landing, and learn from real NTSB mishap analysis. Making pilots safer

Beyond the simple curiosity of understanding what happened with high profile aircraft mishaps, Hoover goes into very useful detail to help emphasize what every pilot should do for every flight. Checklists. Weather debriefs. Instrument verification. And... cancel flying when in doubt!

He doesn't have a giant luxury jet flying around making billion dollar deals with other countries to line his pockets. He has worked hard he is allowed to spend his money.

This video took me back to when I was a child. My dad was a pilot in WWII & owned a single engine Cessna that he would fly whenever he had time. He would wake me up on Saturday mornings, very early, & ask me, "Do you want to go ride the sky?" He would put the plane in stalls, etc. Great memories.
