Media is straight up refusing to cover any of the protests, and actively misreporting the basics of the law-breaking across the administration. Normal people who just casually pass by a few minutes of CNN in a week haven't heard *anything* about the worst attack on government since the Civil War.

These numbers suggest the media is failing to explain what's actually happening to the public.

It's reminiscent of the march to war in Iraq, when the prestige papers and the networks rendered the antiwar movement virtually invisible -- only the prestige papers and networks are themselves now vastly diminished in both their independence and importance

I've noticed the same thing. You have to go to web sites or social media to get news of anything related to the facts about this badministration and the protests. I don't think most people knew about Project 2025 or how dangerous it was. It's horrifying and aggravating that little is being reported.

We had thousands upon thousands of people marching through lower manhattan on Saturday, and I’ve only seen local coverage of it. The top results of a news search only show extremely local outlets and nothing national (the next result after those shown was about providence)

I’ve noticed that almost any sentence about the media is just as true and much clearer if the word “media” is replaced by “oligarchs.” Thus: “Oligarchs are straight up refusing to cover any of the protests…” Well, of course they are!

Because they are owned by billionaires doing what their masters are telling them to do it’s not an excuse. It’s just an explanation of what’s really going on. It’s an oligarchy just like Russia.

Not that I don’t agree with this post, but the numbers kind of line up with what I would expect this early on? Overwhelmingly negative from independents and Dems, cult like devotion from Republicans

Friends in other countries are asking me why we are not fighting * protesting because they don't see anything on MSM. MSM and this regime are trying to make this all seem normal and falsely indicating we are happy with this and not protesting. We need the world to see our protests

What stories do run rarely quote Ds and never explain the illegality of the EOs and acts (there is a process for firings and layoffs of civil servants and they are being ignored). Little context, reporting on legal matters.

Yup yup yup yup Every time I hear someone whale on Democrats for poor messaging I still want to tear my hair out because 40%-plus of the electorate will never hear the message. Better messaging, yes, but delivered via must-cover events. Which is why the Dem base wants mass demonstrations, like NOW

Yeah I'm watching the semi fluff morning news (GMA) and the evening news (both local and national) pretty regularly and not nearly enough of the bullshit is getting mentioned.

Legacy media is total Propaganda this way. I tell my friends I’m protesting and they ask why none of this is being reported. I share the stories but they wouldn’t know unless I said something. And the headlines in these paywall sites never say “illegal” “unconstitutional” Dangerous

There are dozens of stories about protests in the US. The Tesla Takedown protests are a leading story for all the major publications. There are at least 5 stories on CNN within the last 24 hours about anti-Trump protests, Tesla protests and student protests at Columbia. The media is doing its job

People, particularly those who don’t travel abroad, don’t realize that don’t realize how incredibly parochial America and Americans are. They don’t watch international news or read international publications. I walk my pup through my suburban NJ neighborhood certain most have no idea what’s up.

Also, I personally know a passenger on the American flight that caught fire at DIA. She said it was NOT organized. Was chaotic. She was taken to the hospital and kicked out at 1:00 am and offered a $12 food voucher. AA offered $100 toward new flight She has serious lung problems now. FAA cover up
