i think tech and ai positive people are going to be in for a big shock when anti tech and anti ai sentiment becomes a major part of leftwing politics going forward especially as datacenters continue to destroy communities and raise electricity bills

Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

It’s left-reactionary. We should be nationalizing AI tools/datacenters etc. anti-AI is a losing position in the long term because it is very useful for most lower class people. You can list all the reasons you’re better than those who use it and it won’t matter

Stuff like this lets broke/overworked people do what the rich hire experts for: draft letters, decode legal/medical jargon, plan budgets, build basic sites, manage chaos. The issue isn’t people using it, it’s that corporations own it. The left answer is public/worker control.

Tabling for a moment that this is nonsense (within the last 45 minutes you yourself pointed out the shortcomings with chatbot usage for communication), if they can already do all that with LLMs, then it's unclear why corporate ownership holds back precisely the functionality they already display.

Which part is giving you difficulty here? There are two parts to my last response: 1. It actually is not good for these things at all, but setting that aside, 2. If people already use LLMs for these things, and LLMs are under corporate ownership, then how would worker ownership improve the LLMs?

(It was the wording of your 2nd point, I did not understand what you meant). The point of owning a utility is to mitigate systemic issues caused by central ownership. Give every artist whose work trained it a cut of its profits. Use its success to fund social programs.
