Yay I won a prize but THIS is the REAL news: "The Toji Cultural Foundation and Woori Bank signed a culture and arts cooperation agreement to work together on the full English translation of Land" ... and I am translating Toji (all twenty volumes) into English!

This is a project that has been years in the making. Toji has been translated in full exactly once (into Japanese by two incredible translators) and all other translated editions have failed to complete. It's 20 volumes, with each around 400 pages, a work that took the author 25 years to complete.

Hopefully, translating it won't take that long, but if it does, I'll still be a very spry 70 year-old!
