"There will be repercussions" -- DHS official Tricia McLaughlin threatens the mayor of Nashville with prosecution because he "put out the names of Homeland Security investigators, and doxxed our ICE enforcement officers."

ICE/DHS will need to provide the official government documentation that proves that they are allowed to operate as the Sheriff's Secret Police then. Since this isn't fucking Nightvale and they can't do that, there is absolutely zero legal basis for their agents to operate in guaranteed anonymity.

I can’t understand why they’re upset about revealing information about the federal government — didn’t trump claim he was going to have the most transparent presidency ever? Like super bigly transparent?? Surely, he wouldn’t have lied about that, right?

It’s not doxxing. They’re taxpayer funded government employees. If ICE doesn’t want to worry about repercussions for their actions, don’t do illegal activities like disappearing innocent people off the streets and sending them to labor prison camps.

Names are not protected from disclosure under 18 USC 119. The “Social Security number, the home address, home phone number, mobile phone number, personal email, or home fax number of, and identifiable to” some federal law enforcement is protected. You don’t get to wield state power anonymously.

Picture too isn’t protected? So if flyers were to go up in the salon these guys wives frequent, street poles outside their kids daycare, their favorite greasy spoon where they chat with the owner that would be ok, right? More effective than online and more legal too I believe?

Thanks. Wasn’t my idea. Historical example that OTPOR had success with against particular officers in Serbia that thought they could abuse people in the darkness. It made their wives shunned by friends, made them unwelcome at favorite diners, etc. Wasn’t huge, just well targeted.

I wouldn't think "naming public government officials" is 'doxxing' them, presuming he's not publishing personal information like home address, home phone, etc.

Needs to happen Nationwide. May not stop it all. At least slow it down, for a while. We all know what is coming eventually, the repercussions. Be prepared to support each other. Help each other. Make plans. We will survive this heinous period of time.

Stating the names of law enforcement officers involved in an action is not doxxing. They should have their names on their uniforms and on the paperwork they execute. Ms McLaughin just wants to work in Iran, where secret police disappear people.

McLaughlin should look up the duties mandated by elected mayors: first and foremost, notification of weather, meetings, local issues, construction projects, environmental dangers, and THE POTENTIAL FOR their citizens being kidnapped and deported to another continent in violation of the constitution!

Trump loves to put out names and addresses of federal judges and other officials in his Truth Social and nobody threatens him with prosecution. And besides, ICE agents are not CIA operatives whose identity need to be concealed by law!🙄

I'm trying to educate them out of their internalized misogyny. Many don't realize it because of the societal grooming. I can tell who to spend time on & am lucky to be in a position to reach a lot of women that are open to learning about their subjugation.

Where did the Trump folks find these women to act as spokespersons who seem to enjoy spreading lies so much? They find a fired cast of Mean Girls somewhere looking for alternative employment?

Sorry, as a state employee, if the Freedom Foundation can get my personal info and target me with anti union mail I can get these assholes’ names, addresses, social security numbers, birthdates, job titles, pay, seniority, and retirement dates.

"Historically, the use of face coverings by ICE had been reserved for undercover or sensitive operations, but press reports and public videos indicate that ICE officers and agents have broadened this practice to the arrests of nonviolent individuals without a prior criminal history."

#ICE isn't "deporting" immigrants, it is kidnapping them. #DOGE isn't "fixing" the government, it is dismantling it. #Trump isn't "helping" Americans, he is retaliating against them. Pam Bondi isn't "upholding" the Constitution, she is ignoring it. #FuckTrump #Resist #Felon47

There's little doubt in my heart, they've been hiring Jan 6th convicted and pardoned felons as ICE officers and US Marshalls. No doubt at all. When the public can't tell the difference between criminals and law enforcement, they all become criminals to the public. 2A is going to solve this.

Trump and His Accomplices can accidently post information online, but no one else can. ICE agents drive around in unmarked vehicles; with no identification and their faces covered, so their names should be released.
