It’s the truth everyone lives - they aren’t ’job creators’ - the private sector are capital hoarders. A lot of it in the form of public dollars intended for job creation and expansion and innovation that never happens.

What interesting is the fed chair and powell absolutely, typically is incredibly careful about every single word spoken. He knows what he says is scrutinized and will move the market. So the fact that he's saying this? It's extra super not good.

He's right. Econ 101 (Trump flunked that). Unemployment=lagging indicator. The unemployed stop earning $ so won't buy stuff from other workers who then lose their jobs, then when oil shortages raise prices, more unemployment when consumers can't buy stuff workers make. Stagflagion. Lasts for years.

This is a reflection of what I’m seeing in my real life. I have multiple siblings who have been laid off and can’t find work. One of the three has an MBA and plenty of experience, but has been out of work for a year now. Another was likely replaced by AI tech just last month.

I would happily agree with Jerome Powell. I'm applying for all types of part-time jobs suited to my needs and working with people who can help me get accommodations because of my disabilities, and it still hasn't happened in almost a year. I wish I could work in my field of study or my old job.

Thank you. I've been trying to get a job in graphic design, specifically animation, but I've been constantly denied. Not even an internship. Between that and being let go by my previous job because they won't provide accommodation for me, it's frustrating.

I really know the feeling. I've gotten small short jobs here and there and am running on savings. I'm falling back on things like trying to get editing clients and teaching piano. Even if I don't have faith in much, I know that if I keep trying at least I did all that I could. Good luck to you
