A lot of people don't know this, but when you brush a cat, you are legally required to show them the wad of cat hair that came off of them and tell them "this is enough for another whole cat"

A lot of people are saying this is also true of dogs. That may be true but I don't know dog law very well

It depends on the dog. If it's a husky type you tell it you're going to knit a sweater.

I had a friend with two huskies. I’d never heard the term “blowing coat.” In the summer there were tumbleweeds of fur in their house.

Our huskies blow their coats twice/year. For some reason, they have to blow out their summer fur to replace it with heavier winter fur. Actually, fur rains off them when they walk so, it's constant. But, twice/year, we can pull off giant tufts of fur as well.

I used to be able to just pull the under hair off without even using a brush. She's been gone for a long time. I loved her but one husky x was enough, and she lived 17 years.
