If I show my dog her fur, her immediate impulse is to eat the fur, so… no. In my case, at least.

This has been true of all my dogs. Of course I can also say, "how can you lose this much fur and not be naked."

Ours hates being brushed and she gets incredibly stressed out by it, to the point of crying. So we just let her look like a scrub all summer.

I wonder how Dog Law relates to Tree Law...

In our jurisdiction, when we brush the dogs, we have to arrange the loose fur in the shape of another dog and then ask the brushed dog if they want to have a play date with the loose-fur dog. We do this because it pleases the dog to think they've grown a friend.

That would be me, Dallas. The wad-of-hair rule *does* apply to dogs.

We call brushing our husky/shepherd "making another dog."
