"The freedom of individuals verbally to oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state." —William J. Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?" Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

The part where she smiles at her assassin and says, "I'm not mad at you." really triggers #PresidentKaren. It was "highly disrespectful of law enforcement" - a phrase he repeats twice as though it justifies murder if he just repeats it a few times.

Again, Jan 6. Again. What is it about this person that confuses people enough to reject the alternative? The other party isn't worth two cents most of the time, but this person and his coterie are an enormous risk.

Trump should be put in a position where he has to "put up with stuff" every day. An endless parade of angry women calling him a demented fuckwit whom everyone despises, pointing out that the only people who pretend to like him want something from him, etc. It'd end him faster than the McDonald's.

He is correct that "Law Enforcement" should not put themselves in a position where citizens are required to challenge their actions and anticipate needing to bear witness to potential misbehavior.
