The only reason it would have taken 5 years to migrate off of Enzyme is because every engineer they'd have assigned to the task would have rage quit 2 weeks in.

openai.comAsana cleared 5 years of engineering work in 2 weeks with CodexAsana used OpenAI Codex to replace an outdated testing system in two weeks, completing work expected to take five years for about $12K.

It took my team around 6 months to rewrite 2,500 tests. Of course it wasn't the main task; we decided to rewrite tests if we touched the related component. Extrapolating, all you need for it to take half a decade is 25,000 tests. Not an unrealistic number for a large project.

Yeah. AI tools are very good at rote tasks like this, which is great because those are the kinds of tasks that drive engineers crazy
