I've dreamed of React Native support in Vitest since @vladimir.berlin's early experiment in 2023. Nothing ever came close to production readiness. So I built @wojtekmaj/vitest-react-native. 2,000+ tests passing across 9 apps. Stress-tested against Bluesky. github.com/wojtekmaj/vitest-react-native

Kinda related: Coding agents are an absolute superpower for people with ADHD. I have like 5 ideas per minute, and now I can just throw each one into a separate thread and keep going. Before that, I could hardly finish anything without medication.

Unexpected benefit of AI-assisted coding: I now have a way to remember the current status of any sub-task I'm working on, either by looking at the logs or asking the agent directly. Previously, the first 10 minutes of any work session was just trying to remember what the hell I'd been doing.

First project with GPT-6 Astra: Threadr - Tinder for Codex threads. Swipe through the chaos, keep the good stuff, archive the rest 🤠

In case you need it tonight, I'm proud of you, I believe in you, and I hope you know how much you're loved. Whatever today looked like, you made it through, and that's more than enough. Sleep well. ❤️

Plenty of new features since the announcement, while staying beautifully minimal. - Now on Windows! - 5 new languages - Codex usage limit preheating* - Update checker * automatically sends a tiny ping to get the limit reset countdown rolling

I wanted an app that would let me see my remaining Codex and GitHub Copilot usage quotas as easily as I can see my remaining battery life. Prompted Codex, went to the gym, came back to this. Nice.

My computer just woke me up to tell me it's hungry. I'm not kidding 😂 During a long-running task, it noticed the battery was draining, set the volume to 100% using Computer Use, then opened Google Translate and hit "Listen" so I could hear it asking. Pardon my French, but what the fuck? 🤯

For context: I told it to work autonomously and "notify me" only if anything blocked it from completing the task, then told it I was going to sleep. That's it. It first experimented with the Web Speech API, realized it doesn't work on non-HTTPS sites, and came up with plan B. Whaaaaa... 🤯

AWS VPC is down. All 24 of my apps went down out of the blue. Customers started calling me all at once. Codex fixed it in just under 5 minutes by temporarily rerouting traffic between services over public IPs. This is my why. 💖

GPT-5.6 Sol is insane. Issues I've been dealing with for months, poof! Gone like that. Along with my entire weekly usage... 😂 But that's another story.

My personal projects: "Hmm, maybe if I switch from Biome to Oxlint, I could shave 420 femtoseconds off each CI run and make AI work faster?" At work: Today I had to convince a team member that having over 500 ESLint/TypeScript errors and no CI is, in fact, not a good idea. I just can't 🫠

TIL you can use Codex to tell Codex to do stuff! It sounds silly at first, but managing multiple Codex conversations simultaneously from a "master conversation" is surprisingly powerful.

Sometimes when I'm thinking I'm not a good enough programmer, I remind myself that Instagram, a company with ~20,000 employees and ~$70B in annual revenue, shows me the number of likes with 0.1 precision.

Migrated all my repos to Vite 8 / Vitest 4.1 🎉 Took me a while because of a few rough edges, but it was SO worth it: my builds got more than FOUR TIMES faster (23.18s -> 5.36s, -76%)!
