Look who's trying to gaslight people into thinking that it was "centrists" who pushed Fetterman on Pennsylvania. (for those w/memory problems: Fetterman was 100% a product of Bernie/leftists)

I regret not getting a screenshot from Twitter of a trio of “progressive” young white dudes who whined “Why won’t establishment/centrist/corporatist dems give us this one!” regarding Fetterman during the PA Senate primary race.

I live in PA and I liked Lamb (even listened to an hour long pod cast he did with Charlie Sykes) but I voted for Fetterman because everyone said he would be a fighter and as Lt. Gov he was. he stood up for gay marriage, was there after the Tree of Life massacre and against anti-semitism

but I don't know what happened to him after 2024, the first two years as Senator he was out a while due to depression but otherwise a standard issue Dem but perhaps that and the stroke he changed.

First, you’re clearly right and it’s insane to not remember this. However, tbf the left pushed his media team on us. He appears to have hired impossibly talented folks for that primary. This doesn’t maybe matter as much it seems to for me. But he was popular out of state because of his team.

It’s so frustrating because we don’t have to wedge ourselves like this every single time but it’s so easy to wedge us like this because losing sucks and every part of our coalition has had a moment of just getting something wrong. But the internet allows us to re-remember.

Literally a character built by progressive consultants👇🧵, particularly Rebecca Katz, who had worked with him since his 2016 losing senate campaign. People bought the bullsh*t hook, line and sinker. Same people tried it again with Platner. 😒 bsky.app/profile/maud...

I see Fetterman was the talk of social media over the past 24 hours. Let me share this 👇 thread of threads again, keeping in mind that many of us warned about his 🚩 🚩 years ago, but too many people were taken in by the consultant created character bullsh*t….and still are. 😒

I voted for Lamb in the primary, because he was my rep before the maps were redrawn and he'd proven he could win against repubs, even in heavily red areas, and he was a good rep. Then had to vote for Fetterman in the general, because the alternative was Oz

I love this thing that leftists do where they support a candidate, he does something problematic after months of Black voters saying "can we get someone else, they are problematic", then leftists blame centrists for their candidate. Like fetterman. Gaslighting in the internet age?

He doesn’t even express betrayal, like the overwhelming majority of the left, particularly those looking for Justice in I/P. He who neglects to say, "I was lied to," is a liar himself. He's a chaos agent, part of the authoritarian influencer sphere until solid data otherwise.

To his credit, Ryan Cooper admits that it was progressives like himself who preferred Fetterman. To his discredit, he insists Fetterman really was a “progressive populist”.

A whole bunch of "resistance libs" were gung-ho for Lamb because he hadn't pulled a Fetterman and gone all vigilante on some random brown person when he was mayor. I'm so over this guy's shit.

We're talking about Fetterman, right? The guy who's been complaining about the left for a few years now? Sounds like a centrist position to me. Some leftists had their misgivings about him when he ran. Maybe our purity tests need to get tighter

The history of Fetterman’s rise will be debated and changed over time. He changed, clearly. He also reneged on distinct promises he made. This equates to either lying or changing or both. I don’t think voters should be blamed. He seemed good for Braddock for years prior.

Black voters were waving the red flag consistently and emphatically back then. I remember well. And as per usual, they were ignored. And now the people who put Fetterman in office want to blame “establishment” (read: Black) voters for him. They can all fuck right off.

If white voters ever dealt with their fragility, admitted failure and had a desire to fix it? We wouldn’t be here. That’s what pisses me off so much. The fix is easy. Oh but their precious egos. They can f right off bc look what they fucking did and CONTINUE to do. Sick of their shit.

Hasan however absolutely should be blamed for being a lying POS and pretending Fetterman is a "centrist" hero when he himself was a Fetterman stan and knows damn well the guy was the candidate of the left.
