Assessing Pete Buttigieg's performance as Transportation Secretary involves looking at several angles. He played a key role in implementing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which directed significant funds towards transportation projects. He also focused on improving roadway safety and su

pported initiatives for accessible transportation. However, challenges such as supply chain disruptions and rail safety incidents occurred during his tenure. His supporters point to his efforts to modernize infrastructure and promote transportation equity, while others note the difficulties in a ...

I welcome Buttigieg if he decides to run for president. The Democrats need to put up younger generations of candidates, presidential and down ballot, who are best able to articulate the Democrats’ vision for the future, keep saying MAGA bad / fascist is not good enough.

Pete who?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? NOONE can match 'MY' matchlessly unique wisdom and genius to make both Democrat Party and America Great Again!! Take it or leave it! I may go as an Independent Candid too as I am one at the moment!! Vote for 'ME' my fellow Americans!! We can Make America Great Again!!

People view Buttigieg through rose colored glasses. He is a flawed corporatist who failed & embarrassingly claimed false victory in the Primary, has a terrible record when Mayor- has problematic racist comments & actions in his past- worked at the horrible McKinsey corporation- do not coronate him

Would dearly love to see it. He is a hero. Given the bigotry we're still dealing with in this country over issues of gender identity and sexual attraction, however, I have concerns about his electability. I will 110% volunteer for his campaign, though, and help make it one hell of a fight.

As amazing it would be to have Pete as president and finally have brains in the Oval Office again… this country is not ready for a gay president. They can’t even handle a woman as vice president… it’s a shame 🙄🤦🏽‍♂️

Unfortunately with the mindset of country's voters, he most likely would not win. The GOP will let loose a smear campaign much bigger than Bidens. I like him and would vote for him in a world that supported DEI. But...we can't lose any future elections

I can see your a pro Trumper and don't really care what his evil ways do to democracy and our way of living. Very sad. I'm a conservative liberal but I still believe a person is free to live a lifestyle they feel comfortable with.

No thanks. Neo-libs courting “moderates” is exactly why they keep losing elections, and brought us the gift of Trump. Twice. I prefer an actual opposition candidate. Not one that promises different things but does the same shit once elected, just with less Jesus. (Obama, Clinton…).

I didn’t say progressivism. I said actual opposition. When both sides of the coin are tails, only one is shinier, it’s no real choice. You get the same outcome in the end. The only difference is one side being more brash and open about their intentions.

I absolutely believe that besides Pennsylvania governor Shapiro there's no other politician with the level of intellectual capacity as he has, but I'm worried that America is still not ready for a woman or gay for president. Unfortunately, to some even on the left, that's still no go 😞😭

It would have been nice if these democratic candidates would have stepped up last January to run, so we didn’t have to suffer until 2028, just because they were too scared to primary Joe Biden. It’s easy now to throw your hat in the race, but we needed leaders then.

Smart guy sees the whole picture. Yet, attached to the entrenched corporatist DNC elitist hubris insular methods will have him doing their bidding not the people’s. If he can cut ties with the Pelosi/Schumer/zionist agenda he’d be better off.

Buttigieg is a smart guy and would make a great POTUS but lacks the fiery personality necessary to overcome the MAGA crowd and right wing media, even though Trump wouldn't be running. Dems need an outsider who can fire up the base and attract a broad coalition of voters.

He should have run for the Senate. He won’t win the presidency. If he’s the nominee, the Republicans will win the White House. The American electorate is: 1) racist, 2) misogynistic, and 3) homophobic. They will pretend to be behind him as they did with Harris, but it will be a lie.

I seem to recall we had a damn good president elected after serving only a few years as a US senator. Don’t understand why this couldn’t be Sec Pete’s roadmap as well.

This is really sad and totally a bad situation, but I think Dems should be realistic: Misquoting Joe vs The Volcano in reverse "I know he can do the job, but can he get the job" I don't think he can and I don't want the Dems to waste their time and gift the Reps 4 more years to create tyranny.

I agree 100%, but unfortunately, I can't see a lot of the country voting for him. It sucks, because he is, BY FAR, the most intelligent, knowledgeable person in politics and would do an amazing job.

He isn't going to win. We all know it. Country can't afford to keep handing the country to Oligarchs and idiots because the Democratic party is running in a world we don't live in. It makes you feel good, and makes good sound bytes, but it isn't reality.

Pete did well last time he ran. He has more experience, popularity and exposure now. He has the ability to go on Fox and make his points. Hmmmmm! Was reading yesterday that the end of the last Guilded Age in USA was thru progressive policies.

As much as I like Pete I will never support a presidential candidate that isn’t white, straight, and male. Goes against every fiber of my being to think this way but to defeat MAGA I’m not willing to risk it. Sorry, but now isn’t the time for progressiveness. Dems need to be exactly in the center
