If OpenAI chatbot was prompted to provide the shooter with detailed plans for a hypothetical novel would it or would it not comply? Looking for clarification in the article or VP’s letter about their protocols for users violating their policy on violence. To what degree was the chatbot responsible?

Shoving so much investment into a morally bankrupt cesspool of tech leadership completely devoid of any feelings of obligation towards community or a future worth living in. That's before we even get into the pathetic levels of productivity generated by this economic sink.

When concerning signals are identified but don’t make it to the authorities in time, the failure isn’t just technical it becomes a question of accountability and public safety.

An apology is an admission of guilt and he should be prosecuted and their business should not be allowed to operate until a long list of full-leash restrictions are in place None of that will happen because of money and corruption but should

Jesus. Well, that shouldn’t stop them from investigating and prosecuting. They’ve gotten away with this kind of damage so many times in the US as well

Typical don’t ask for permission; ask for forgiveness. If he’s fined, that’s just the cost of doing business. Block his service to the country while it’s scrutinized! If several countries do this, these shitty invasive guessing machines can be corralled for neutering.

I'm having a hard time remembering the last time any of these ignorant assholes, actually suffered significant hardship, after causing such misery. Shielded by wealth has become a real superpower.
