The common form of dental care here demands that if I cannot take care of my teeth (or don't have a schedule that includes cleanings, usually once per QUARTER) is just pulling. They'll pay for fillings, but not for crowns, meaning it WILL just get worse. This man is doing the work the Lord won't.

It the same as the hospitals and medical specialists. United Healthcare has become the 3rd wealthiest company in the US. Their CEO received a total compensation of approximately $20.2 million plus 60 million in option awards. Guess they like money too. 🙄

Oh, cool. A story about how the supposedly richest nation on earth can’t pay for the bare necessities of its citizens. Funny how we celebrate imaginary numbers on spreadsheets but not the quality of life of our fellow citizens.

the fact that dental care is treated as this humongous obstacle to solve is insane to contemplate. oh, sure, we'll patch up your broken leg no problem, but the things connected to your feed hole that also can induce infections to your sinuses, lungs, and even heart? fuck you, you're on your own!!!!

All of the US's feel good stories are a horror story indictment of a cruel/exploitative system. Good part individuals taking initiative for their community bad part they shouldn't have to.

I think it's nice he's able to do that. Good dude. I still can't feel great about the story, we live in a country where it shouldn't be necessary for someone to do this. Every American should get free health care, including dental care. This is an indictment of our failed system.

"dignity" as if dentures are just for looks. Dental care is necessary healthcare. Infections can turn fatal, excruciating pain, even just missing teeth means issues eating and can cause breathing issues at night. Pretending dental care is JUST dignity and not a absolute necessity is shameful
