every single reporting of this new feature is extremely obnoxious because its fearmongering about a highly requested feature that stems from discussions surrounding troubleshooting and whatnot becoming relegated to closed off discord servers instead of public forums and discussion boards.

As a young man, I used to think there was no such thing as 'forbidden' knowledge, that knowledge was always good and could never be harmful. As a somewhat older man, I regard this position was folly. No one is improved by finding out what a Malfoid is. This is a knowledge that should be forbidden.

what the fuck is a Malfoid

NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents My story... www.gamefile.news/p/control-re...

gamefile.newsWho made the art inside Control Resonant? When the developers of Control Resonant needed to fill their video game version of New York City with art galleries, they tapped the talents of people they knew particularly well

if you're wondering why people are frustrated at this "malfoid", ie the character "malfoy" from harry potter plus "foid", the far right incel term for women, is a dog whistle character cooked up on 4chan to poke fun at trans people and their allies who vehemently reject jk rowling and harry potter

Department of Education posting Malfoid art btw. I’m losing my mind man.

Trump's affordability message: "You could even come to Mar-a-Lago. You'll be my guest. The problem is that for $5,000 the most you'll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I'm not even sure you could buy that! No, don't go there. It's not a good place if you're price conscious."

Halloween season is here, and it's never too early for parents to start inspecting the candy their children consume. Be sure to look for the telltale signs that their treats may have been tampered with:

We aren’t legacy media but we led the morning with this from @premthakker.bsky.social zeteo.com/p/donald-tru...

zeteo.comDonald Trump Is Newly Accused of Rape – and Epstein Allegedly Helped 👀The president faces horrific new sexual assault claims linked to the old friend he just can’t escape. Plus: a new national poll of Arab Americans shows Democrats slowly winning back their support.
Marisa Kabas@marisakabas.bsky.social

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

An Arab chemist won the Nobel Prize literally last year. RFK is not only a bigot, he's a stupid ignorant one. (Remember, this is the dude who claimed COVID was engineered to spare Jews and Asians.)

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

A 2025 Nobel Prize winner in chemistry, Omar Yaghi is the son of Palestinian refugees who grew up in Jordan. He just left the US to move to China after raising concerns about rising anti-immigrant sentiment, like the kind shown here. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/china-than...

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

Old enough to remember when Joseph Gordon Levitt stood on stage to promote a crowd sourced asset strategy to revolutionize game creation in the middle of bg&e 2’s “development” and one of its many announcements.

I need to stress this part: Instead of letting our anger lead us, we focused on work and joy. Anger creates rifts and makes us easy to bait. But they can't take the joy of your effort when you're focused on doing your part and lifting each other up. Winning or losing, it feels worth doing.

Never forget that fascism lives for aesthetics and attention. They have no depth. Take the stage, take your colors, solidarize with those they hate, don't engage with them, don't give them oxygen, and make fury your dance partner make it shine, laugh, take children, MAKE THE FIGHT WORTH ITSELF

I'm going to try to do this cleanly. Today's right wing governments are networked to each other. Those networks are well-documented. You can read about them in books. Following the elections in one node of that network is good practice for understanding the U.S. node.

I just think Matt's wrong about this. We're at a point in our technological development where a ton of problems spill over national borders--if Flavio Bolsonaro burns down the Amazon, that will flood houses in Miami.
