Welcome, Daniel! I tried for 15 years (yeah, I got old apparently) to get into Twitter. Recently more than ever, with increasingly less engagement. Bluesky feels like a fresh start

awesome! it was like this 2-3 years ago on Twitter, but then things turned bad great that we can have a similar experience now here on Bluesky and that it will stay that way, but I‘m really optimistic

Do you think that things turned down because of Elon and X and other stuff around that ?

yes a lot of bad things happened since Elon took over the API change was fatal and this years USA election was just a horror .. couldn’t find any meaningful posts there anymore and now you look at a tweet, swipe down and see a random video like on tiktok .. just doesn’t make sense

I tried do be active on X, but when you feel like nobody cares/listens to you it’s like “whatever”. Here tbh I feel like I’m being seen and you can actually chat with people in the community. It’s also less noisy.

yeah, community here is incredible . . growing day by day

What is one thing that you feel was most important to your growth?

There was a culture there that I didn’t vibe with as a late joiner. It feels like Bluesky is still in flux and the community is still figuring it out. You can shape it too.
