David, did you see Ryan Jespersen's recent interview with Peter Guthrie, in which Guthrie said the Alberta Next townhalls, about getting rid of CPP & RCMP, were to test the waters to see if Albertans were interested in separating?

I don’t fully accept that argument, although that certainly played into Smith’s strategy. The ideas all came straight out of the notorious Firewall letter drafted by Stephen Harper et al in 2001. They were revived by Kenney for his so-called Fair Deal Panel.

Will be very interesting to see the effects on existing individual UCP caucus/cabinet members after potential attempts to gerrymander constituency boundaries. How might each one's continued political survival be promised? If not, she'll loose her grip on party loyalty and open a door to defections.

Not sure if it's legal, but they certainly are trying. They have done many seemingly illegal and unconstitutional things in the last 40 years especially. We got a small sanity break of 4 years of NDP, but that wasn't enough time to fix a long history of deceit and bad policy under conservative rule.

"Canada’s redistricting model could solve the US gerrymandering death spiral" ~The Hiil. PM Pearson fixed it at our federal level. The provinces followed the same model .... until recently.

We can only HOPE SO!! The Conservative party in Canada is compromised since the USA Republican/Libertarians have weazled their way into Canada. Ford In Ontario is no different and ALL Provinces w/PC's are in danger! Stop voting for PC's!
