I despise the fact that Carney lies so frequently & so blatantly & so confidently. I hate even more the way he gets a free pass for it from so, so many in our media & social media. It's pure Orwelliian. Sustained consistent assaults on human rights are now "safeguarding human rights." 35/

"Cutting Red Tape" - is a Conservative phrase for removing environmental protections and letting big business do what it wants. It's truly pathetic that you are doing it and trumpeting it, as if it's something to be proud of. There is no Liberal party anymore. @markgerretsen.bsky.social

Hey, Liberal voters in Canada. Is this what you voted for when you voted for Carney? I definitely didn't. Carney lied to us all. He's doing to Canada what Harper failed to do. He's Harper 2.0. To appoint this person as a JUDGE of all things tells you who Carney is. STOP CARNEY.

Orlagh O’Kelly@orlaghokelly.bsky.social

Carney just appointed Danielle Smith's top justice official, who oversaw the 4x use of the notwithstanding and anti trans laws. The discrimination of kids with disabilities. The americanization of election laws etc etc etc. www.canada.ca/en/departmen...

Most people are lazy and simply hear his bs on corporate media. Their American owners love Carney and the lack of critical thinking is jaw dropping.

This is so wonderful! BC Supreme Court says "Drug User Liberation Front" founders who provided clean drugs to users "should be very proud" of their work, rules that CONTROLLED DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES ACT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL! This is a massive step forward. Together we will end the drug war.

Nothing new. Carney has been cosplaying an environmentalist ever since the quit the U. K bank job and we Canadians have fallen for it.

I’m just not sure I trust that his wife will protect our oceans while her husband is building yet another crude oil pipeline towards those same oceans and expanding ports that will result in the extinction of our resident orcas! The whole thing feels a bit icky. I mean this clip….

Ron Austin reposted

Believing in it while contributing to it with new pipelines is sociopathic.

Carney underscored his government’s belief in the impact of global warming — contrary to U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion it is a hoax promoted by “globalist” elites. Read more from Tonda MacCharles: https://mrf.lu/2Sy8G

Yes! The CONs almost won last time despite the being the Disunited Clown Party that merged mid-campaign. Yesterday when Eby was spouting his 'gotta fight President Slump' bs, he looked just like an undertaker announcing a reduction in services.

GRIDS Vancouver@grids.reillywood.com

Yeah, I was thinking of this plus the Cons suddenly getting their house in order

Eby looks like a lost wimp, running against President Slump, rather than doing his job in the legislature and Premier's office. The CONs can move fast/almost won after a ridiculous mid-campaign merger last time. An early election is another example of Eby's bad judgement. I'll vote Green.

Breaking: British Columbia Premier David Eby calls snap provincial election for October 24

The CONs can move quickly as the last election campaign showed when they almost won after a ridiculous mid-campaign merger. Calling an early election would be another example of Eby's bad judgement. I'll vote Green if he does.

"a better way to work with indiginous people" that's a funny way of saying "changed the rules to speed things up and ignore what the people actually say." it's ok to use critical thinking you know. Or maybe have a smart friend explain it to you.

Costco in Canada also makes an effort to stock Canadian foods and non-US alternatives which I appreciate since I have been boycotting 🇺🇸 goods going on two years We have enjoyed fresh foods and goods from around the world 🌍

Costco runs it's own rigorous food inspection program. And they didn't bend the knee on DEI. Plus, they dropped Callaway Golf after their horrific ad depicting violence against women. And they are refusing to carry trump meat. So that's where I'll be shopping.

And Mark Carney signed off on all of this. The federal MOU explicitly exempted Alberta’s clean electricity timelines and removed the oil/gas emissions cap under the justification of powering tech infrastructure. All under the corporate lie that fossil fuels are a necessary "bridge fuel."

More importantly, solar doesn't spew localized heat, toxic air pollution, or deafening noise into existing residential communities the way emergency mobile gas peaker plants do. Carney’s obsession with fossil fuel baseloads isn't a sound transition. It's a product of corporate capture #cdnpoli

And the author of Shoeless Joe, the book the Field of Dreams screenplay is based on, was the late great W.P. Kinsella.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Just watched Field of Dreams for the first time as an adult. There is A LOT more going on there than I remembered from seeing it as a kid. What a film.

Fossil fuels as raw material in zero-emmission manufacturing? Sure! And that means that FFs are way too valuable to burn as fuel and the emissions they cause now are likely to end humanity.
