Feeling groovy while seeking peace. Canadian accountant struggling to reconcile how out the debits and credits got out of balance.

Yes, although Alberta would probably elect a week old carton of ground beef as the conservative premier if it told them what they wanted to hear.

Is the UCP the Danielle Smith party or a grassroots party? I don’t really care which. The party is a mess no matter what and needs to go.

Fed, nurtured, and accommodated. Dani pivoted after the results came in. She crossed the floor again. [BTW: given that she's crossed the floor twice, is she guilty of a double-cross?]

Bob Fife on Danielle Smith telling separatists in the UCP to find another home: "Why didn't she say that at the beginning? This is somebody who has fed them, nurtured them and accommodated them, and now they're coming for her."

Premier Smith, & Premier Smith alone, put every single divisive Q on the ballot, including the Canada Q. Our job is to make sure that she wears that responsibility - and that her efforts to blame others show her up as the dissembler or liar (take your pick) that she is. #ableg #abpoli

I didn't see that many Separatist lawn signs in my neighbourhood... maybe two or three. One guy though had (I kid you not) about ten, three of which were the big-ass road signs. Today though, there's only a "For Sale" sign on his lawn, LOL.

Get packing!

Promise? Now get this through your thick wackjob skull: We're not interested in being "saved". We're interested in being spared having your bullshit idealogy imposed on us. Go found your very own Waco Compound somewhere else!

Noticed my book at the front table in Edmonton Airport Indigo. Excellent. Also noted: the airport is very efficiently run by a workforce almost entirely people of colour. Ironic, since a majority of Albertans just voted to reduce immigration. Claiming it’s a drag on the economy. Sad.

Talk is cheap: let's see some terminations.

Her speech last night and rhetoric today are nice. However, if she's sincere, then she has until sundown to part company with Devin Dreeshen, Shane Getson, Rob Anderson, and Bruce McAlister.

How do these results compare to spring of 2023?

What do Albertans want their provincial government to focus on next year? 43% affordability 38% health care 26% housing 25% economy and jobs 20% pipelines 6% independence A pretty clear message about what matters most. abacusdata.ca/in-alberta-...

A walk out has been organized at a school in Grande Prairie, Alberta, after a social studies teacher made a social media post saying there's no evidence that residential schools were bad or that there was a genocide against Indigenous people.

CBC Calgary Eyeopener also interviewed him recently, along with many on both sides of the referendumb debate. However, I turn the radio off when they interview a separatist. I don't think media should be giving them a platform.

"A government advertisement... Putting Albertans first. Limiting free access for temporary residents. Sustainable, accessible, affordable. World-class healthcare, where and when you need it… The rancher looked out the window for a long time. Then he reached over and turned the radio off."

albertaviews.ca/wher... Such a touching and empathetic piece. Please take the time to read this So beautifully written. It wonderfully captures the diverse and skilled collection of HCWs who make up the teams that provide the CARE in health care.

Absolute must reading! Ms. Mitchell-MacLean lays out Dani's devious denials and how Dani stretches credibility until the elastic snaps.

“…who among us hasn’t wondered how a bunch of nobodies from Alberta ended up getting meetings with officials from the U.S. Administration in the first place? Nobodies who have the gall to offer up access to things only the Alberta govt can offer?” #ableg #abpoli open.substack.com/pub/womenofa...

Mayor of Calgary: "It's really rich to see from some of these leaders in the separatist movement, they talk about freedom, sovereignty. And when they go down south of the border, offering our water, our land, our oil, this is not about taking back Alberta, this is about selling out Alberta."

Mayor of Edmonton on separatists colluding with GOP operatives: "This is not about a conversation about being an independent Alberta. This is a conversation about the United States looking to just take us over."

There’s a pattern here. Profit over public health, and “people like us” (we all know who that is) over anyone else. It’s disgusting and works against everyone. And those 9 referendum questions are here now to reinforce the pattern.

"The Cargill outbreak is a story of “systemic regulatory failure” by the Alberta government and Alberta Health Services (AHS), the single provincial health authority at the time. They said Alberta was unprepared, overconfident and deliberately side-stepped available enforcement measures."

Watching Big Danielle is making ol' Vic dizzy! She runs to one window and shouts "I'm not a Separatist, Strong Canada!!" and then she runs across the office to another window and shouts "I am a Separatist! Let Alberta decide" and then she says "pipelines" and bursts into tears! #AbPoli

Manitoba gets a non-partisan loon on its new licence plate and a strong leader in the legislature. Alberta gets a “Strong and Free” partisan logo on its new licence plate and a loon in the legislature.

How to vote by mail in Alberta: 1. Open the envelope, sort through the TEN questions. 2. Fill out the declaration that you are eligible to vote by mail. 3. Worry that you may go to jail. 4. Stand on your head. 5. Fill out the ballots anyway. 6. Do the hokey-pokey. 7. Say a prayer for democracy.

School’s back in session. Maybe the Premier should spend some time in her crowded classrooms. First assignment: show your work. If “guest workers” cost $10 in services for every $1 in taxes, show us who you mean and where that number came from. albertasvoice.ca #ableg #abpoli #NoToTheNine #abvoice

Jeffrey Rath is a leading spokes-person of Alberta's separatist movement. Compare his reasons for separation with those documented by Alberta pundits.

Inspiring! Here is separatist leader, Jeffrey Rath’s, speech given during the Alberta Separation protest at the legislature this weekend. When you read the transcript you really start to understand everything about separatists and this movement. #abpoli #abreferendum #ableg

Normalizing hate is ugly, but it’s also intentional. That’s what those nine questions do. That’s what this government does. Send a strong message, and call out racism when you see or hear it.
