Current UCP Gov't in Alberta appears poised to legislate UNCONSTITUTIONAL and ILLEGAL gerrymandered changes to the electoral maps in the Province. This simply can't be allowed to stand if they try it. After angering voters over a useless referendum process, they're desperate. #ABpoli #ABleg #CDNpoli
Referendum Oddity - What's up with this? I know, results are preliminary but, total votes cast for question #10 were 1.94 million. Progressively from question #1 to #9, total votes fell off from 1.65 million to only 1.11 million, so many people didn't bother answering the 9 questions! What happened?

Vassy asks a hard and pointed question, and as usual Danielle Smith is being disingenuous and skirts the question. Why is Danielle Smith entrusted to be the leader of Alberta?
Vassy: When you say that your caucus is united, that's blatantly false. It's not. Why is this individual who wants to effectively break up the country allowed to remain in your caucus? Tra!t0r Smith: You don't have unanimous agreement on 100% of the things 100% of the times. Really???🤦🏽♂️
Just last night Smith doubled down in front of a live YYC audience claiming immigrants to AB have driven up HC and education costs. Premier, TFWs are single status and don’t have families with them! The bulk of immigrants come here to work and not to mooch. Facts matter! #ABpoli
Smith & the UCP have worked since the day they were elected to destroy Alberta's healthcare & education, and replace it with private healthcare Now, a year before an election, Smith is using the referendum to spread the idea that immigrants are to blame for that destruction Just my opinion #ableg

Recent bursts of community opposition to proposed AI data centre projects in Grande Prairie, Olds, Rocky View County, and Sturgeon County suggest that skepticism of these projects spans the partisan divide, something that feels increasingly rare in today’s politics. This is an issue to watch.

After the referendum, Alberta will be angrier, more divided, more radicalized, and a worse place to invest. albertapolitics.ca/2026/09/afte...
... and Smith will fully consult with Treaty Nations in just 2 ½ months ahead of a separation referendum? IMO, with her attitude towards Indigenous peoples, it will take at least that much time for them to even book a meeting. Remember the promise to fix healthcare in 90 days?
Treaty 8 Sovereign Nations would like a word with the Premier of Alberta for retconning First Nations out of “Alberta Day”… #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

Alberta’s Smith says Tennessee trip isn't sending wrong message amid trade war While Smith invoked the trade war when talking about the trip today, it seems the meetings she has are more to do about Alberta’s goals than any large scale trade diplomacy. By me today: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

I’ve been struggling to keep pace with the rate at which the UCP has legislated, often in unconstitutional ways. They have passed legislation, often in the middle of the night, that will leave extraordinary impacts on citizens of the province. albertaviews.ca/shakedown-fe... #ABpoli #ABleg #CDNpoli

Makes me crazy, but yes, our #provincial government doesn't care that #Albertans SAID NO. #Petitions have been happening forever. #CorbLund is now fighting to PROVE his latest one is legitimate (IT IS!!) AND the #UCP know it. This #SMITH government treats #Albertans as an inconvenience. #UCPFAILURE
A coal mine expansion!?!?!? Ummmm……Canada is on fire and the government permits a coal mine expansion?!?!?! I have no words….

This is exactly the type of coal mine expansion that the @waternotcoalab.bsky.social petition aimed to prohibit. This government doesn't govern for the people or the land, only the corporations. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

"The Gov has been duplicitous & underhanded."— @corblund.bsky.social says Premier Smith should put his petition question on the referendum ballot despite falling short of required signatures. He's filing a judicial review challenging Elections Alberta's decision. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/w...
EA said it has a clear and rigorous system and uses a statistical sampling process that was REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY ALBERTA TREASURY BOARD AND FINANCE. Really? Minister Jason Nixon's Board? No possibility of interference there! #WNC

Corb has filed his application for judicial review. This is good news. I look forward to seeing the formal record. I wdn't be surprised if there is some to-and-fro as to what Elections Alberta has to include. Ans: anything relevant to the decision #ableg #abpoli files.waternotcoal.ca/media/Filing...
A Provincial Election is on the horizon in Alberta! All voters must be prepared to challenge Smith and the UCP on their broken health care promises and attempts at public medical care gaslighting. We just can't accept any excuses on affordability by the treasury either!
Thanks for this deep dive on our premier's non-existent commitment to public health care. #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli “Once people get used to the concept of paying out of pocket for more things themselves then we can change the conversation on health care,” albertapolitics.ca/2026/07/lets...

Yeah, this may be the best thing penned by an American that I’ve read yet. This is it. Pass it along to your American friends and relatives.
“Stop waiting for Canada to get over it. They won’t, and they shouldn’t. The empty shelf isn’t a tantrum. It’s the last polite warning a polite country knows how to give.” This US writer gets it. I hope more of your citizens do, USA. open.substack.com/pub/rossboul...

To me the #UCP are NOT a #conservative government. They just aren't transparent. They DO NOT listen to their constituents. SO many have hidden agendas. So many sneaky acts! Many have NOT SAID if they for #CANADA or are they #Separatists #Mavericks #WildRose #RightWing #Traitors #Liars #MapleMaga
Minister Dreeshen voted to make it easier for separatists to force a referendum. Now he won’t say whether he supports one. Why the silence? Do you support Alberta staying in Canada, Minister, or have you gone full MAGA? Albertans deserve to know! #ABpoli

The UCP continually plays fast and loose with AB treasury funds. They've no regard for fiscal responsibility or the long-term welfare of average Albertans. #FYFP
Alberta taxpayers should not pay for UCP propaganda. This is partisan crap. Not everyone can talk to "Your Premier" because they screen the calls. If only we had an ethics commissioner.

Based on what’s in the story, this website shouldn’t even have cost $50k, let alone $300k. That’s 600 hours of work if everyone was making $500 an hour. And to only get 40k visits? That’s $7.5 a click, an absolutely horrible ROI. $300k should get you a website, social, ad spending, and more.
