PSA: A heads up for those (kindly) supporting us with game purchases today: 1. Kiln and Keeper are getting permanent price changes soon! 2. All our games on Steam are getting international price adjustment reviews! 3. It's Psychonauts 2's birthday next week, which means a sale!

I bought Keeper recently not realizing that its publishing rights hadn't transferred yet, can you invoice Microsoft like $10 on my behalf

I know ports are a bit of a dicey maneuver at the moment, but any plans for a PS5 "version"/patch for Psychonauts 2 that shaves down the load times? Also, will there be reprints of the iam8bit physicals, or is that out of reach?

Congrats on regaining your independence! Just putting this out in the universe, but if you released Kiln and Keeper on physical, I’d buy them again in a heartbeat! (Also would love physical Switch ports of Stacking and Costume Quest 1/2 😅)

Now that youre not with Xbox, do your recent games now solely profit your studio or do those that were published under Xbox still profit them?

I would love Kiln working on Linux. I have it sitting in my library with no way to play 😔. I'm happy I purchased to support the team but ngl I wanna play it lol

We would too! It's turned out to be a little bit complicated for this title, which is why it hasn't happened already. It's not something we've completely ruled out AFAIK but there's some other stuff we have to prioritise

Out of curiosity and this is a bit of an ask. Would you guys now be able to uodate psychonauts 1 to get it deck verified. The controls do not work in it without major external configuration that I havent been able to get working and itd be much appreciated.

Question: do you still get full revenue from games like Brutal Legend and Costume Quest even though they were published under EA, Sega, etc.?

i was really interested by Keeper when it was revealed but avoided it due to Microsoft publishing it. excited to try it out sometime!!! just double checking though, all the money (besides Steam's cut, obviously) goes to you guys? none to Microsoft?

Is it possible you could do a pass at your prices in polish złoty? Poland regularly gets screwed by currency conversions. Right now, Keeper costs more in PLN than it does in USD, despite the purchasing power of people in Poland being less than half of those in the US.

I think that'd be something worth taking up with Valve, tbh. People publishing games on Steam will heavily base international pricing off of Valve's multi-variable price conversion recommendations and at the moment they believe we've priced it about right in Poland.

They have one that accounts for purchasing power now. They made it about five months ago. It cuts prices in Poland by over half. For at least Poland and Southeast Asia, it's a way more fair pricing scheme than their multi variable one.

They have one which is a straight currency conversion, one that looks at purchasing power only, and one that takes into account a whole bunch of other factors including purchasing power - this last one is the default recommendation, which most games will skew towards.

Yahoo!! 🎉 Any chance of a redone PS port of Psychonauts 1 in the future? I was pretty sad when I realized that the one I bought from Iam8bit was the same busted PS2 mess. Happy it's on Steam at least. Looking forward to what you guys do!

Thanks! And yeah, there's SOME truth to that in that it's probably easier than it ever has been to port between platforms in new titles, but it's still considerable work and in this case we'd be working with a very old code base and engine so considerably less straightforward.
