I looked everywhere for the answer to this question -- if someone has a gift subscription purchased before the cutoff in May and chooses to stay subscribed when the gift period ends, do they keep the legacy pricing?

That is extremely fair, and the people at Dropout would agree. What it is is a subscription streaming service that produces original content in house with a focus on comedy. They have several episodes of their various shows for free on youtube if you are interested trying out their content and

Seeing if it might be worth it to you. They are currently 5.99/month, though that is set to go up to 6.99 per month for new and returning members in May. However, if you start before the end of April, you lock in the 5.99 cost. And if it just isn't worth it for you, that's fine.

Don’t dismiss it without more buildup! I like comedy, music, movies, that good cultural stuff we share. Now I have to check it out due to my lifetime appreciation for artists, writers, and all creative types (I’m also fond of smart people: scientists, professors, programmers who are on our side).
