Would it still be possible to replace the battery of the Round once it dies? I was really happy about the Time 2 having screws, but with this one being so thin and glued I'm worried I won't be able to replace it myself. Maybe, if it's possible, you could show us how to repair the Round?

that is one thing I really like about the black and white displays, they are very easy to read at a glance. I wonder that I may prefer that over having color, but I also want a metal body and I need the case to be able to be unscrewed for repairs.. 🤔🤷🏽

In the above screenshot, it looks like PR2 has much lower resolution, there's visible stair stepping on diagonal lines compared to PT2. However the spec sheet on the order page lists them as having almost identical DPI, and the announcement post lists an even higher DPI for PR2. Could you clarify?

That would be superb. You guys are killing it so disregard anything that steals your time but would love to see any example of the speaker in action and what a long SMS looks like on screen of Round VS PT2 to make a choice cause these are two dream watches and it's not an easy decision for Pebblers

This is a very sexy watch. However I am really excited for my Time 2 and since it will have the speaker and the HR monitor, I am going to stick with my original order. Keep up the great work.

@ericmigi.com can Time Round 2 OS be updated so when you go to the next page of a notification, it keeps the last line of the previous page at the top of the next page so it's a bit easier to read? With the old watch, it pages completely to a new page and it is easy to get lost while reading.

Since I didn't see it in the video or the announcement post: does the Time Round 2 have a vibration motor / linear actuator? Or does it lack both that and the heartrate sensor?

ah, found it on the purchase page. so yes, it has vibration (though I'll request adding it to the various other pages too). but I also noticed there: "backlight: ✅" vs "backlight: ✅ RGB LED". I don't think I've seen anything covering that RGB backlight thing - what is it?

As a proud OG Pebble Steel owner: this looks so sick! How repairable is it? With a heat gun and replacement adhesive, could I give it a new lease of life if the battery conked out? Or if the screen got cracked?

Happy to see this update and switched my preorder from the Time2 to this! But - I am sad about the increased diameter from the original. You talk about it like a feature, but smart watches are ALL sized for men's wrists. Do you realize the potential neglected market a smaller watch could serve...?

Eric thanks for your reply. I know that I can use any 22mm band, but I thought that the leather band from the PTR is branded with pebble logo like it was on the old PTS back then. And, by the way, it was of very, very good quality.

the original pebble round had too short a battery life and zero water resistance, I couldn't agree with those concessions. this new pebble round 2 looks to be an improvement in every way! it looks great!

Just bought mine! Added to my two 2015 PT and one P2HR, and my Duo2 and PT2, means in the end I'll have six Pebbles, all new or in mint / working condition. What a piece of tech this is!

Love it! I explicitely didn't want a hr monitor, don't need a speaker, and with my PT's buttons still working after 10+ years, I would guess the round2 buttons should be long-life as well, right? Also: is there a "legacy mode" to run old rectangular apps that didn't get the "round treatment"?

Changed my PT2 preorder. I can't resist the sweet, sweet circle. Gives off OG moto 360 vibes which I'm all here for. A side note, with that larger and higher res screen, I could see a standard square pebble watchface fitting quite comfortably within the round. Might be worth a thought 😉

I was originally just going to use my revived Pebble Time to the ground but this was too good so I preordered one! Quick question: in the demo videos it seems like the display has a lower FPS. Is that just preproduction software or is this a limitation?

Loved the OG Pebble Time. The only thing keeping me from getting this new one is the lack of heart rate tracking. I know the Time 2 has heart rate tracking, but it's not round!
