Historically, suddenly forcing massive numbers of highly educated and well paid people into unexpected mass unemployment has not led to *stability*

Again, there are literally not enough jobs to rapidly absorb all these displaced federal workers (who will also now be competing for non-government jobs with everyone else in the U.S.).

When are the mass strikes, protests, and civil disobedience gonna start happening? Been waiting for the other shoe to drop for a WHILE now. This shit has been boiling up pretty much since before COVID was a thing.

They have started. The MSM just isn't covering it and dem politicians don't signal boost it like GOP ones do for their side. Though what's happening now might not meet your definition of mass, but again, lack of coverage and signal boosting.

The US benefited for years from the... I don't even want to call it brain-drain, really because a lot of very educated people fled to this country and grabbed whatever job they could find to escape their homeland. But the US benefited from that for decades, and is now gonna see the tide out.

Ahhh yes—historically what have we seen when the educated middle class is squeezed to the point of breaking? **hears Les Mis “Do You Hear The People Sing” wafting in the air and start humming along**….and I don’t even like musicals. 😬

Huh, lots of angry people, some with security clearances and lots of knowledge valuable to foreign adversaries, suddenly facing mortgage payments and hungry kids, with no jobs, limited prospects and a feeling that their nation just betrayed them. That won’t end badly, will it?

Tens of thousands of people, many of whom are in the DC area, who have made their careers out of organizing highly complex systems in the face of considerable inertia, and now have nothing but free time on their hands. Invest in posterboard futures, this protest season will be one for the records.

EO's (and this scotus) are junk: I care about DOD. It's what happens after moron invokes martial law (and he will) that matters, and paradoxically that clock favors our woke progressive agenda: DOD doesn't hire for hate like ICE and LAPD do.

Even the more hateful agencies are probably not going to be super-enthused about "do our bidding by shooting civilians so that we can finish our mission of clawing back all of your benefits and throwing your mother off Medicare". Naked self-interest kicks in at some point.

A quick look at LinkedIn or any popular job search site you’ll *already* see a huge surplus of talent to available roles across multiple industries, and recruitment/hiring practices in disarray if not broken.

It's also likely that there will be layoffs generally (regardless of this). Tariffs, uncertainty, people cutting spending to companies licking boots. Households will likely curb discretionary spending, which will be cascade through the system.

It didn’t work at twitter either. It just made twitter a POS. Tesla’s are known POS’s. The cyber truck is a rolling garbage can. Musk is a parasite. He never has any ideas of his own. He is scared of intelligent people. Luckily for him trump is a moron.

this is the funniest part, for me. like did you think every single one of the scientists and engineers and techs clearly laid off without cause would be like "oh well! luckily i am exactly sheldon cooper and i will be doing nothing, cowardly". Fat chance
