I’ll note that my brother, who actually works for the International Rescue Committee, always tells me to give money to MSF/DWB - they stretch a dollar better than any other group in the field (I think mostly because the doctors are volunteers). (Obviously I donate to both orgs!)

My problem with the direct accounts that even good actors were promoting was that I suspected that the additional funds weren't actually bringing in any more food to the region, but rather rewarding those who were more charismatic and had Western friends, making sure they were the ones who got aid.

Even if Mommunism could vouch for her friends and it was 100% legit, giving that person $10,000 just might mean that the price for food in Gaza goes up for everyone, and only those who can suck up to Westerners online get any.
