nationalize everything Elon Musk owns.

CNN@cnn.com

Just two days before launching an effort to slash red tape for commercial space transportation, President Trump last month purchased up to $5 million of bonds issued by SpaceX, a major federal contractor run by Elon Musk, according to ethics filings made public on Thursday. https://cnn.it/4rRrZU0

I mean first step is to strip his security clearances, then require that any gov't contractors dealing in sensitive space technology or AI technology must not have any owner with more than 20% share in profit or voting stock without a security clearance, or certain (or all) C-suite types

The year is 2029, federal agencies are debating who gets custody of Elon. DOJ: "DOGE was a completely unconstitutional organization violating countless federal regulations, we're taking the lead." FBI: "He's a ketamine addict with countless criminal charges, this is our case." (next post)

Unfortunately, I think his immigration normalization was probably aboveboard, since it happened in 1997 and Section 245(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act was active. Unless his lawyer made a big mistake. That said, if there were mistakes, there's no statute of limitations on challenges.

There is no world in which a racist, authoritarian asshole who happens to be, sadly, the richest person on Earth, can be allowed to personally fund a national campaign with his riches, in virtually unrestricted and unlimited fashion, like this stale bullshit right here, and that nation can survive.

It is nationalised - almost all of its money is from Government contracts and incentive schemes. It's just that Musk can pretend to be the founder and take out as much money as he wants. No big deal, right?

They're killing Falcon because Starship is already taking payloads to orbit and it's cheaper and more capable. For now, there are certain kinds of payloads that can only be launched on Falcon, and Falcon is remaining for those types of payloads until Starship takes over.

Also, your claim about Musk "admiting Starship will never be certified" is not factual. He never said such a thing, and the entire point of the Starship program from SpaceX's perspective is to settle Mars, with secondary objectives beyond launches to LEO including point-to-point passenger service..

around the Earth. What Musk has said is that before crewed Starship launches can begin, there must be a large number of uncrewed flights (just like there were for Falcon). Falcon will remain for crewed flights until Starship can be certified. Falcon is contracted out to 2030 and can be extended.

Starship is Musk's cybercar of spacex. Instead of just sticking with useful competencies (e.g. the Falcon series) he flushes all their resources down a toilet inspired by mis-understanding every SF book he's read.

The idea of a fully-reusable rocket makes a huge amount of sense, even if it’s technically very difficult to pull off. Reuse and in-orbit refueling are necessary for any kind of orbital infrastructure. Leaving the US with no crew vehicle just isn’t acceptable though. Musk is a security threat too.

Been saying this during Biden. He is basically tax payer funded and yet slashed programs and sucked funds from NASA and other programs. The American people own his ass and it’s time to claim our assets officially. Plus, he’s a security threat.

As much as I wouldn’t mind seeing that happen, I’d much rather the other unethical person in this story be subject to massive civil forfeiture.

There is no legal justification to send him to Haiti. There may or may not be justifications to strip his citizenship. Honestly, the funny scenario would be, several years ago, China offered him citizenship. Him accepting would be *hilarious*, because he wouldn't be able to shut up re: politics.

YES. I would love to hear the word “nationalize” more often with regard to the property of these Nazi-abetting crooks.

Just saw the Musk movie and Q&A w Gibney director and Ashley St Clair. Highly recommended. Though four hours long it’s gripping and there’s an intermission and it shouldn’t be missed. You think you know Elon Musk just fills in the holes that you don’t.

The only thing that matters to me is that it's done legally. Enough with authoritarianism and extrajudicial tyranny. Musk has done enough shady stuff over the years, and *especially* the past several years, that simply allowing the normal course of law to proceed should be sufficient.

The law already changed to make what he's doing legal. It went through the system and the system fell in line. Law is what made slavery legal and self emancipation illegal, it is a tool of the powerful and not something separate to them

this feels like a median position I am for it, but I also want him to be made America's butler sort of like in the fake Seinfeld pilot
