Hmm 🙄🤦🏻

Forcing Nova UI without making an obvious choice to opt out was, a choice? thankfully it can be disabled. Nova UI provides too much visual noise with placing a bright border around the active tab and using the rounded edges way too much. Chill daddy.

don't do that

at least on the version I'm using you can click the sidebar button to hide it. appreciated as I don't really need it + even as a fan of non-sharp corners the rounded corner eating into the site's content area annoys me

Nevermind, as long as userChrome. css is working, I can control Firefox the same way I did 15 years ago.

it's so weird how this happens every few years. Cleaner. Fresher. Modernized. but firefox has been basically an address bar and some tabs for like a decade so i have no idea where else there is to go

Does this include removing AI slop?

Am I spotting a lot of newly wasted space above the address bar in that mockup? It’s all good if I can turn that off. Still love gecko :-)

maybe you could give us some options for detach sensitivity because I'm sick to death of trying to click a tab only to have it open itself into a new window.

I'm part of the community. And already posted a few comments about the vertical tabs layout that I really don't like in Nova. The new line on top of a containerized tab instead a simple right border is the last thing that will make me switch again to Brave. Their containers design is top notch!

"We're just doing whatever."

Side bars fucking suck, how do I get rid of them?

Why are you suffering under the belief that I don't want to be able to read my tabs?

Funny thing, last time I tested it there's actually the same spacing as before (just displayed a little differently) and they're officially returning Compact Mode which gives you even more space than current versions

Not at launch. Rounded shapes are part of the core design language, and there's no built-in slider for it. userChrome.css still works if you want to go that route, and the theme and customization system gives real control over look and feel otherwise.

the lack of actual screenshots is, indeed, rather annoying. is this helpful?
